Your average person would read that and think "Sounds about right," and that's they way it was intended to be read, unless somebody deliberately wanted to dick with people.
Nope. That's not how it was intended to be read. It was intended to point out an how a valid syllogism can still be erroneous logic. My philosophy professor, in fact, presented the sylogism and asked the class to explain why it is bad logic. It is an elementry lesson to students of logic that valid syllogisms do not necessarily make valid logic.

There is not such word as "pedancy." Did you mean "pedantry?" No matter. You're still wrong and no matter how long you hold your breath and how much you stamp your feet, you will still be wrong.

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;...

Yeah, sorry about the word issue, however, as far as I'm concerned, the absence of a gap making it wrong, makes it pedantic. It's very good for its purpose, it just bugs me.

This one just boils down to opinion.

When the time comes, that no more can be said, say no more.

Ive got a small analogy that can help comprehend infinity:

Imagine a man of 2 dimensions, he only knows 2, like a drawing on a paper. You pick him up and put hin on a sphere. He starts walking through it, and soon he realizes it has no end. No matter how much or in what direction he walks, he never sees the end of it. While on his piece of paper, he would reach an end after walking a while, that doesn´t happen here. To him, the sphere is infinite. Becuase he only understasnds 2 dimensions, not 3.
Now imagine that instead of 2, the man understood 3 dimensions, and instead of a sphere, you put him in the universe. Just like us, the thing is that we don´t understand all the dimensions of the universe, and therefore in ou uncapable eyes it is interprete as infinite.

In the beginning there was nothing. More importantly, nothing that didn't exist, and was simultaneously infinate.

Infinity, surely requires infinate probability, and thus every possibility must occur simultaneously at every point in infinity.

If this is true, what the hell is going on inside me? How can we percieve anything that appears to exist? How can there fail to be a God? How can there be a God?

We've been here many times before. Odd how topics repeat here... suppose it's due to the influx of new blood and the bleeding out of the pissed off old because they can't handling those who disagree with them.

So, to repeat myself, I disagree with your initial assumption: once upon a time there was nothing. I think there has always been something. (Actual many, many, many somethings.) What? I haven't the slightest notion. Once a "rock" dropped and the end result is where we are now. Where did it drop from and what was before that moment? We can speculate. We can bring the best scientific minds together. We can ask those who have faith. We can somehow combine the two. But in the end, we have only have somewhat well-informed speculation. at best.
