That is because as society becomes insane we pursue a future goal of searching back into the past to find that monent when we were last sane, as a culture. Back before our imagination led us on a journey of discovering the myths of religion and the warped portrates of reality within scientific theory, before dominance, before our obsessions with materalism, before our alienation from nature. And in reaching the climax of that search to find the beginning in the ending we break free from the time-space momentum and touch ground with the felt experience of the moment, where-in sanity dwells and the final illusion vanishes.
