Jesus- the missing years

Does anyone know what he was doing or where he was, between the age of 12 and 30?
There is no account of this time in his life, which is probably the most important and memorable part of it for anyone.
I find it strange that this is so.
Myself I believe he went and studied with the essenes, as a lot of their views and practices are reflected in his teachings.

Maybe they were trying to keep up the pagan traditions of the story.

Many other gods have "missing time" in their lives, also between the ages of 12 and 30.

Jesus, like the other gods, didnt exist

Possibly, but I would rather believe someone like him did, because of his wonderful loving nature, than to not.
My warm dream is better than your cold reality, if it even is so.

And could you elaborate on these other gods with missing accounts of their lives between the ages of 12 and 30?

From the top of my head, Horus. why dont you believe in that warm dream?

Also joseph from the bible was sold at age 12, and then started work at age 30.

So we can see its a common thing, and nothing really special, In fact it looks copied from egyptian mythology and adapted as western mythology.

Now that i think about it, Jesus actually has nothing special at all about him.
Many other gods have done most, all, or even more than jesus has.

You originally said 'many other gods have similar story's, now its just Horus, and Joseph, a direct ancestor of Jesus, not a God himself.
Thats a big jump away from many Gods in your last post.
You say Jesus had nothing special, but over one billion people believe in his teachings, and many more pay him resepct.
So he must have had something right?

Horus was born of a virgin (maybe) on Dec. 25th. His birth was accompanied by a star in the east and witnessed by shepherds and three kings. He had 12 disciples, and little is known between age 12 and 30. He was baptized at 30. He performed miracles such as walking on water and healing the sick. Known as the "Lamb of God" "The Light" "God's Anointed Son". He was crucified with two thieves, buried for 3 days, then resurrected.

This is the reason we're offering you as to why nothing is known of Jesus between ages 12 to 30. Because it was plagiarized from Pagan myths.

Other pagan gods worth looking into:

Mithra, Attis, Krishna, Dionysus

Here's an interesting video.. some of it may be far fetched but it's a good watch..

Egyptian mysticism was a massive influence on early Christianity; probably the way of thinking which allowed Christians to extract themselves from Judaism. Platonism and Aristotelianism were also strong influences (Aristotelianism influenced early Islamic theology as well), but they came later.

A person who has not studied ancient Mediterranean cultures will not appreciate this, but probably the most spirit-minded peoples out of antiquity were the Egyptians and the Christians, and they were very spiritual in much the same ways.

-- The noble God who is slain returns to life to set things right, then goes back to the afterlife to oversee the metaphysical order of the universe, especially to the spiritual well-being of mortals on earth and to their care in the afterlife.

-- Huge obsession with the afterlife.

-- Extreme emphasis on reward and punishment.

-- Extreme emphasis on the holiness of water and baptism.

Ah zeitgest, the movie that uses all sorts of unconfirmed and site track ideals and promotes them as fact with the use of its string of websites all created alongside the movie. Ever wonder why many of the websites link to each other?

Since you mentioned Horus you fail to mention there are different varieties of Horus, and you failed to mention the birth by having sex with a dead body part, the child of a female god part, the masturbation part, etc. 12 apostles? Oh yea, that theory speculated from pictures where Horus has 12 beings kneeling before him, they must have been apostles....

All the movie does is make very liberal use of questionable sources and theories and presents them in a manner designed as a target against christianity.

Different varieties of Horus depending on the time period and group involved -- which was in around 2000 years ago?

Moreover, Egyptian mysticism explains the presence of several themes of Christianity the Jews in general "couldn't have cared less about", although that is an exaggeration on some poiints.

Actually what was missing was that chapter in the Bible, but after many years that chapter was finally published..

So, because Horus isn't exactly like Jesus, and no one said he was, we can dismiss the parallels?

Ive heard of the Horus similarity's to the life of Jesus , and other pagan gods- same stuff, but there is no proof that this was actually believed before Jesus about any of these gods by their followers, its more likely you have been influenced by the already disproven and mocked atheist zeitgeist videos, which basically just made most of it up and presented it as fact, similar to the Di Vinci Code.

Like the varieties of jesus, blue eyed jesus, white jesus, black jesus.
Jesus of the protestants, the catholics, evangelicals, etc.

you cant even keep your own god to one version, even though we can communicate to each other at the speed of light and everything is written so you can make sure everything is the same, but you expect a religion from 5000 years ago to do the same?

No problem Magnus, but to give you the fair answer that you deserve, I will go and get you the proper proof, so it may take a while OK?
I have talked to other Christians online, who said the zeitgeist videos were mostly false with a little truth added in, as most lies are.

Again, youve made a claim, but the movie has made a powerfull case, backed up with links proving it to most people that see it, at least to a certain degree.

All youve done is talk. man up, prove your claims
