No. You're not. This isn't some arbitrary choice that people make, Fangrim. If you and I go to buy a used car, we both want evidence / neither of us want faith. If we get in a car accident, we call 911 and go to a hospital, not a church. The list of scenarios where we both look for evidence is limitless save for religion; the fallacy where not having evidence is magically supped to be "okay".
Kindly don't misrepresent my argument. I don't belittle the choice that we make in favoring evidence's importance.

So far, you aren't even disagreeing with me (since I already said we DO find it more pleasing to value evidence), but apparently you like pretending that you are in disagreement, so have fun.

EDIT: I'm not going to bother responding to Zhavric since somehow he's still under the delusion that I'm a theist (because obviously he's in a better position to know whether I believe in God, right?). No doubt Zhavric wishes to keep me as his polar opposite so that he can still "reasonably" disagree with everything I say.
His post isn't worth a response, so I just wanted to get that out there. Toodles.

Damn, even with ignore I can still see text when it's quoted.

In response to the faith vs evidence, people need to apply common sense. If your buying a new car you compare cars the choose. You might hold faith you made the right choice. That's the appropriate use of the word.

What use is it pointing out the proper definition when H will just stick with his own intellectually bankrupt one?
If you really want to know, read the Summary of this Wikipedia article.

The Myth of Sisyphus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pay special attention to the last paragraph of the summary of Chapter 4.

Don't worry. It is a very short article. I think anyone would get a kick out of it, because it represents my approach to online forums pretty well. Whenever I think of never coming back, I always think of Sisyphus pushing that boulder up the hill and somehow feel a bit better about it all.

I'm not. I'm accurately characterizing your mischaracterization of faith. The fact is that you, as a theist, invoke special pleadings. And don't give me any of this BS that you're not a theist. You are.

Ah, I see you've followed in the steps of your idol: Fonceai and Kame. Both of them put me on ignore because their logic / arguments couldn't withstand the scrutiny and skepticism I exposed them to. Fonceai is banned and Kame doesn't post anymore on volconvo. Basically, he figured out that I was right all along and posts on a different forum. He still can't admit that I was right lol.

Yes and they need to apply that common sense uniformly and not create asinine special pleadings for certain sets of claims.

What most call faith is blind stupidity. Real faith is evidence within you which can't be taken away because your source has given it to you as a gift and it's power is not measurable. It's as real as knowing that you are alive. Not something you believe because you were taught to or you'll go to hell etc.

Pretty much the same: you think you know because you think you know.
Close the eyes, forget about evidences and pray, God will think for you.

I think, I'm free.
