Does this include sociopaths and criminals of various stripes? For they too, must live, and the world is never without them. Or is the thesis of this thread that such people would not exist in the perfect world?

I dont see why they shouldnt be included.

["Does this include sociopaths and criminals of various stripes?"]

Whatever causes the human community to have sociopaths and criminals of various stripes would be no more in a world where LOVE RULES.

What the real problem is how to get from todays world to a world where LOVE RULES.

In a “better” world than this one, TV would be used to communicate important information to people – for example, there would be many channels devoted entirely to free, interactive education. But of course television today is seldom used for such noble purposes, and instead used to control our minds with high-powered psychological cues embedded in commercial advertisements.

These commercials are the creators of many criminals.

TV commercials tell us that if we aren’t average or better looking, own a late model car, live in a new brick house, in a new suburban neighborhood, on half an acre of bright green lawn, with neighbors to either side of us just the same; if we don’t fit this picture, we are somehow deficient in character and unworthy of respect.

And there you have the basic ingredients of a criminal – a person who thinks he needs these things, and because he doesn’t have these things he develops a poor self-esteem. This is a person who will lie, steel, and cheat to get what he has been taught are the ingredients of a real human being and that without them you are worthless and less than a real human being.

In a better world, people would not be programmed and brainwashed this way by greedy big business, self-serving politicians, and other ruthless people. In a better world, poor people would not have to resort to crime to fulfill their programming. And consequently the crime rate would be virtually nonexistent. Any crime that remained would be looked at with pity, treated as the mental illness it is, and cured.

I dont think people would even have a concept of a television in an even remotely GOOD world, let alone a perfect one.

The way the world is at the moment and has been or will be is the perfect world.

A man has two reasons for doing anything --- a good reason and the real reason.
Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I agree that it is perfectly what it is. But I think that if we do have free will (and I don't know if we do) we can achieve much better. Much, much, much better.

If I had free will I could beat up old ladies and steal their money.

Yeah man!

My perfect World is where LOVE WILL RULE in every aspect of the human community, such as caring for your neighbour as you care for yourself, and being stewards of the earth and the ecosytem upon the earth.

A world would the best possible with the knowledge and wisdom mankind has now. Can you imagine what the world would be like if LOVE RULED in every aspect of the human community? The use of the word 'perfect' has a problem, because its definition changes with each person.

What would the world be like where LOVE RULED in every aspect of the human community?

In my perfect world, all human beings will live together peacefully in a community. Everyone will make the same amount of money and have the same standard of living. There will be no poverty, no homelessness, no killing, no hatred, no war and no exploitation. The people will govern their society collectively. Wealth that is produced will be distributed to everyone and not end up in the hands of a few elites.

Religion will disappear. Humans will stop believing in a higher power, angels, devils and all that superstitious nonsense. Scientific and logical thought, not blind dogmatism, will reign. Intolerance and bigotry will vanish. All people will respect and be kind to one another.

That isnt perfect at all. What about all the poeple for whom peace is a burden? There are a lot of men who cannot handle peace because they are not peaceful at heart. What about the natural leaders? Natural leaders will not tolerate the constant mistakes and stupidity of a "collective" society. What about the people who need more wealth to maintain the lifestyle perfect and proper to them?

What about the religious people? Why should science "reign?" Are Scientists natural aristocrats? Do yuo think a degree in a given material pursuit qualifies one to make judgements that will affect the way the world is run?

Your entire post is utter programmed nonsense for eunuchs and failures. Only poor, defeated, downtrodden, victimized, and confused shills could ever find appeal in "Equality." (Them, and the posers who feel guilty and lost because everything is handed to them and they have no real suffering of their own)

Castille: Everyone post up a vision of what your perfect world is going to be like.

I will bet my LIFE on the fact that everyone's "perfect world" will come into conflict with someone else's "perfect world".

> The problem is in the question- it should not be "your" or my perfect world, but "the" perfect world.

Easy then. Genetic manipulation used to eradicate emotion. Spock-like we'll be perfect. Not happy, as we won't know the concept, but perfect.

If we have to remain as screwed up by emotions as we are, we'd need telepathy to be aware of each other's intentions and feelings to have a perfect "human" world.

Imagine being a used-car salesman in such a world... LOL!

It would be a world of sharing. All energy (things, services, etc) would pass through us from one to the other, and would not get stuck inside any one of us like a growing cist. Furthermore, this flow of energy would wash us clean mentally and physically, by constantly loosening knots of tension and fear.

The greedy today don't know how sick they are from hoarding the things they should be sharing. It's a sickness like malignant tumors inside them and their families. They give no love and they receive no love. Even their smiles are more like grimaces of pain than expressions of joy.

I won't argue with that. Today's world is miserably twisted mentally. It's hard to trust even one's own family.

But the idea of this thread is to imagine a better one, right?
