Your exact statement was: "waving around a gun is dangerous, regardless of race, religion or creed." I agree that waiving a gun around is dangerous.
These two statements equate to the EXACT same thing. Why is there a need for a reply? The answer: there isn't.

Well, I did try to provide a little variety from across the evangelical spectrum.
I did read the rest of those sites, they say essentially the same thing; Spiritual warfare is the struggle against those who go against God, and to make an effort to reflect Gods intentions on earth. The name of the God that spiritual warfare is carried out in can be interchanged, Allah Christ or Yeshua, its all based on the same principle.

I know your type. You think, "I'll just get me a costume, rip off the neighborhood kids." Next thing you know, you've got a jet shaped like a skull with lasers on the front!

It happened a few time with me. Some people (I wonder who...) loves picking an argument, refuting it or making it sound bad, then repeating the same thing. Does he/she it think the argument will be more convincing if he/she/it says it?
He/she/it loves quote mining too: take the argument and disprove it piece by piece, so that the previous post doesn't mean the same anymore.
Intellectual honesty, anyone?

I think, I'm free.

Ok, Chancellor, perhaps it is spiritual Warfare. Yet these people seem to want to take it to longer lengths.

Well, excuse me for actually agreeing with something you said! Do you remember asking "Theres your face value, would you care to refute it?"

Well, there's more to it than that but that's about what it comes down to.

Whether the Muslims would agree with that assessment, I don't know.

There is no "perhaps" about it.

Which is consistent with those who are involved in dominion theology and/or Christian Reconstructionism.

This movie shows that there are extremist christians trying to brainwash people's children into hating people who aren't christian. They teach these kids that they should "give up their lives for jesus" to fight "the enemy" in the middle east.

Some people can be such hypocrites. They protest it when groups brainwash someone yet they do it themselves.

Chancellor, if you cannot be civil, don't debate.

What i was "whining" about is that some people find what the people at this Jesus Camp are doing is ok but when other people do it they freak out.

As long as you keep making remarks like this one, you will continue to be subjected to uncivil replies.

Some people? Which people?

Then, of course, there are the people who freak out over Jesus Camp and have no objection to public schools doing the same kind of thing.

I won't name any names, but i think we all have an idea who. Also, if you wish to discuss why you are so persistent on your opinion of public schools are indoctrinating, please post it. Though, it should probably be in another thread, as to keep this one on topic.

Your attempts to dictate the behavior of others to suit you is really pissing me off! I was simply taking what you said and applying it to others.

I know, and i realized it was getting off topic. I like to keep the OP in mind when debating, yet i ended up straying a little to far from the topic. So i wanted to end it's discussion in this thread.

Also chancellor, it is a forum rule to be civil, so please, in order to keep this thread civil, I ask all members to be civil while debating.

The point, of course, was that the behavior that went on in Jesus Camp goes on in a lot of other places and certain people seem to be okay with those other places doing it but they rabidly object to the people in the Jesus Camp DVD doing it.

People who start threads with the sole purpose of attacking certain beliefs are uncivil just by starting those threads; I don't see you telling them to be civil.

So, getting back to the topic of this thread...

Since a person is attacking an idea and not a person specifically (if they are just tell me, i'll go bug them about it ) and there for not against the rules.

Back on topic.

Really, the problem with places like this is that it brain washes children into hating people of other religions. This sort of intolerance often causes violence.

Was that directed at me, the starter of this thread?

That you may retain your self-respect, it is better to displease the people by doing what you know is right, than to temporarily please them by doing what you know is wrong.

They start some of these threads as a veiled attack on people who hold certain beliefs.

It isn't about hating people of other religions (these people don't hate anyone), the warfare being referred to in Jesus Camp was spiritual warfare but it was also an indoctrination setting these kids up to fight the culture war. The enemy here isn't Muslims or Roman Catholics or Buddhists or Hindus but secular America. It's all connected to dominion theology and Christian Reconstructionism in their attempt to take over governments and social institutions.

It was actually in reference to other threads, not this one.
