Basic nature of Living Being, Human in particular

During writing above post in response to Athena's thread "Kid Shop" on S&T section, I wondered what I am writing ; Is it correct??

Does in reality, our kid nature remains with us till death ???

Now to know that, it is essential to know what is kid's nature on the average. To my mind kid's main basic nature is JUST ENJOY !!!! Enjoy what ? Life, I mean ! Just eating, playing, wearing nice dresses ...and the like. I can also say, "Kids want to be always happy and satisfied."

Do we not want to be always happy irrespective of age ?? I feel yes. So I think, we always live with basic kid's nature in tact. I even feel that all living beings must be carrying such basic kid's nature with them.

What others say...Or, I am just stupid in thinking so !!!!

there is not only innocence in a childs fun
there is also a sense of adventure which makes the fun greater, our experiences of life make us cautious sometimes beyond our ability to enjoy ourselves imo

Man, are you folks living in a fantasy land. Hundreds of millions of children are born into suffering and never emerge from it.

They make the "nice dresses" for the rich. The never wear them.

Now I see starving children with swollen bellies, and fear in their eyes. It is nice to think when their bellies are full then may be happy children.

However, now I think of the 4 year old telling me about wanting to throw a fire bomb in his neighorbors home. There was no innocent within this child, or if it was there, it was smothered under his pain and what seemed to old person ideas of how to deal with the pain. It was as though the happy child he should have been was dead inside of him, and I am very thankful I was able to take my own children from the neighborhood that produced such child.

Personally I feel like I was born an old soul. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is not playing and enjoying life as a child, but increasing awareness within my culture to stop human suffering. I was never a playful child, but always contemplative.

Perhaps, Kuldeep, we are born for different reasons? Perhaps our karma requires us to experience life differently?

That is due to their financial burden, but desire is to enjoy the life only !

Very good that your purpose of life has been always, increasing awareness within your culture to stop human suffering. What if you are successful to an extent !! You would feel satisfied and happy. You have a desire, to fulfill that deire you perform actions. You get success and feel happy and satisfied. Or, you may not get success and feel sad. In both the cases the cycle thought, actions, result and its effect on your mood; all in sum total is basically "play" only. But, your knowledge and prejudice mind converts it to a serious issue !!!

Please do not mix Karmas into the basic nature of yourself. Karmas are related to your luck and destiny from time to time. But basic nature of self is constant. With unbiased and memory free mind, even for a second, just think what is your basic nature !!!

I am sure, you would feel that your basic nature is to be happy and enjoy !. See you want morality, democracy, whole world peaceful...and the like. At the back of your mind is, you want all that to keep your own self peaceful and satisfied.
