Zeitgeist - The Movie, 2007

This is some food for thought, I would like to hear others opinions about this film. Just visit the web site or click the linkZeitgeist - The Movie, 2007

I think most will look at this and say that this is just a bunch of Conspiracy Theorists. Part one made some interesting points regarding religions and the simillarities between Christianity and other religions before it. It's at least as compelling as some apologists arguments for christianity and in many cases, provides, IMHO, as good if not a better interpretation of biblical stories and the rise of christianity itself.

Parts 2 & 3 are better discussed in the political forums, so if yo haven't done so, it may garner more attention there. Of course you will hear all the Republicans argue that this is nothing short of Farenheit 911 crap and will be dismissed as conspiracy theories.

Anyway, it was all interesting (and long) to say the least, welcome to Volconvo as well.

You're right I part 2 & 3 would be better to post in political forums.

There are many films like this poping up daily on google video, if you have any that you like let me know about them.

Many of the points in Part 2 were direct takes from the video called Loose Change 2. That video has been refuted many times over so many of its claims are specious at best. As for part 3, one thing I do know is that there ARE laws in place that address income tax and your responsibility to file a return. The laws are in the IRS Tax Codes. The tax codes are passed by congress and the president and there for it has become law. Many people assume that the IRS Tax Code is written by the IRS and because it contains the word "Code" that it isn't law. Part 3's ignorance of this is telling for the rest of the material presented. Take it with a grain of salt, and at least do more research before believing it at face value.

I have no doubt about the law to pay income tax, but how that law came about and whether the original founders of the nation would agree with that law is another question.

I posted the full video I should have just posted part one for the Philosophy & Religion fourm.
