![]() Hot Lava Posts: 1,124 | Pro Life on theist grounds The question is this, if you are against abortion based upon your religion and oppose thoroughly the termination of pregnancy in most circumstances (you may hold your own special cases) And if your argument is such that to terminate a life is against your beliefs. Then how do you feel about the extention of life. Should Dr's interfere with heart attach and stroke patients etc. Would it not go against the laws of your god to not let the terminal cease to exist? |

In Religion we read that Jesus healed people and raised the dead - so one could hardly debate that such is morally wrong if a doctor did the same thing to heal or to save someone from the clutches of death. Abortion cannot be compared to saving a person having a heart attack. Because abortion is permitted for other reasons which have nothing to do with saving a life or about allowing nature to take it's course. Abortion is about the right of a woman to say "no" to the reproductive urges of a man. So she is not forced to give birth if she for any reason determines she does not want to mother children for that man. She can say no before sex ( and a violation of no is rape), she can say no in the middle of a sexual act right before conception can happen, if the man does not hop off it is rape. And she can say no after conception before acturally giving birth, and telling her she cannnot say no then, likewise would be the same as advocating rape. |
