![]() Iconoclast Posts: 5,077 | forbidden knowledge Adam and Eve ate the fruit of forbidden knowledge because they wanted to be as knowledgeable as the gods. After eating the fruit, Eve said "The earth and several other planets revolve around the sun." Adam said "E=mc squared" Unfortunately, they didn't write the book of God's truths. |

So the knowledge they gained was the morality that the bible imposes. and for gaining this morality they were then punished. go figure. |

| BANNED Location: Texas Posts: 731 | The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was independence. Both the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil were in the midst of the garden. Probably right next to each other. They were not hidden in some corner but in the " midst" of the garden. They repesent the choice we each have of reliance on God or reliance on ourselves. Then they were cast out of the garden because if they wanted independence then they got it. They got evil and good in the same world to choose from. God said they would die if they ate of it and they did. So life with God or death without Him. Choose. |

Now they have become like us, knowing good from evil. Humans became judgemental with that knowing. Adam knew Eve was to blame, Eve knew the serpent was to blame. That was when human relationships started to crumble as people kept blaming someone else. And Alice said "judgement makes me feel tall, and being judged makes me feel small, this mushroom should be forbidden fruit". Then she opened the doors of perception and entered another dimension. And the cat smiled and then vanished 'woe, how can the gods of the enchanted forest keep track of all those judgements mankind makes in order to pass out proper punishments upon those so judged? Off with their heads; the Queen of cards shouted. And so it was that they brought the head of John to the Queen, behold the judgements have been fullfilled. And the queen smiled, and put an apple into the mouth of poor John, and then she vanished. The garden vanished, the mushroom vanished, the tree vanished, and the Face of God was seen no more.

And if you ask a priest why children die they say only the good die young. So its not really much of a choice is it.

death is not death, so then evil is not evil? Does knowing of death make it evil?

| Igneous Magma Posts: 261 | I think being an independent, self reliant person is not evil. One could also practice independence and self-reliance as a Christian. I do not even think physical death is evil. Why should I fear death? It is spiritual death which is not good. Beware of Logical Fallacies.
