Some adopt philosophies, some discover them through trial and error. Either way, philosophy will be with us as long as their are humans, who can communicate at some level, by art, language or other means. I arrived at my philosophy on my own, only discovering Rand after the fact. After reading some of Rands work, I can't help but feel as though I am her in some metaphysical way, since she so eloquently stated my thoughts long before I was even capable of having thoughts, before conceived, in fact. It is a connection of philosophy, of soul, of the combination between subjective and objective. Philosophy will never die, except in the individual minds who choose to make it so. Even then they are in denial of their own ability to make and morph existing philosophies on the fly, in everyday life and actions. Regardless of what the "collective says", we all make our own choices, and many will bear the values of philosophy long after any collective deems it "dead". Philosophy can keep going until the entire planet runs out of ideas and everyone decides to agree on one thing and we make a law saying that one thing is it, its final, and philosophy is off limits for discussion now. Seeing as all of those things seem highly unlikely, our little buddy philosophy is doing just fine. |

That is proveable, not the "my cat" part, but the "cat" part.
