The only "harm" you could come up with is that a PASTOR COULD NOT PREACH AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY?

So your defense of the bigoty against a segment of our society is that a "man of God" could no longer promote it?

How is allowing two people of the same sex to "marry" going to hurt anyone elses relationship?

Note, that it is a demonstrable harm to see a pastor removed from a church, for whatever reason. That is like chopping the head off of a church. I know churches in New Orleans that lost their pastors to Katrina and are still now looking for pastors. A group with no leader will not survive long. A College in Kansas was completely shut down when they lost the pastor/president of the school and church on campus. Making it legal for gays to marry will lead very quickly to it being illegal to refuse to marry gays, as it will then be considered discrimination. Thus, when pastors refuse to marry gays, they will find their way into jail. That is one demonstrable harm in allowing it.

Also note that slavery was not the same in the Old Testament as it is now. It was servitude that lasted only up to 7 years. If the Year of Jubilee occurred the next year, all the debts that required the servitude, then the slave would be made free. Also, if the servant wanted to be permanently under his/her master, they would both go to the gate of the city and the servant would publicly show his/her devotion to the master by getting their ear pierced with an awl. The Hebrew word used for this kind of servant is "A Doulos." It means a servant of choice, to be literal. Thusly, servitude is, in the Bible, a choice made by the entire family, and not just the parent.
