Hmm...a quick search found this online, which would seem to indicate fairly reasonably that repentance is essential but not sufficient for salvation (one must also accept God's grace)

With a slightly liberal reading of the Bible, as most Catholics do, accepting God's grace simply means doing good and not actively working against God's plan.
