| don't care Location: NY Posts: 267 | You know what? I'm leaving the troop. I can't take this bigotry from them. I talked to the scout master who I thought was one of the greatest guys I had known, but he wanted to "impose the will of god on people" and "I will exclude people if that's what I have to do". And even if he didn't believe in excluding poeple, the fact that he goes along with it and conforms means he's a conformer witht he bigots. I don't think america was formed on conforming was it? SO this is my decision. I'm going on the ski trip in Janurary, then I'm leaving. I've had it with their bigotry and I won't say "the good outweighs the bad" because I dont' stand for intolerance of beliefs. My dad says the good outweighs the bad, but he's not the Aethist. Neither is the scout master. Fuck these bigots. I'm just a fool caught in the rat race of life (Nathan Struth) please help me solve world hunger, It's hard to do it alone. |

Yeah, fuck those bigots. I wouldn't spend another MINUTE with them...right after I get in a little skiing. I love it. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

| The dingos! Posts: 4,548 | It all depends on you. Personally, I'd feel like a hypocrite if I chose to lie about it. (That isn't a judgement about you if you decide to lie, though.) If getting into a good college, and looking better on applications is important to you (as it is to me, that wasn't sarcastic ), then I say lie. Fact is, if lying about it doesn't make you feel weird, then there's really no reason NOT to lie. It's not like athiesm has a scare tactic for thou of little faith. |

"Circumstances alter cases" is the quote I want put here for you as guide for future, from three act play "Admirable Chriton" my B. Sc. English course book.(1970) In the play, Chriton use to be head servant in Lord Loams family. Lord Loam used to arranage party in honour of all the servants, once every month while all the Lord family members used serve the servants. This chap, Chriton never could be at ease with this party. He thought servant master relationship should always be maintained. He never liked his master should provide un--nessary respect to him just for show. It so happened, in second Act that full Lord family along with all the servants went on sea vouage. They met a sea storm and their ship got driven to a far off island. No body lived there except animals and birds. It was under changed circumstances, Chriton took the lead and managed tent making, arranging food etc for the party. Over the time, Lord Loam was feeling pride in obeying his master Chriton. Chriton was firm in his belief, he did not throw any party to useless Lords as his equals even once. Lord Loam decided to marry his daughter to Chriton in due course. But as luck had it, Chriton and others saw some ship at some distance and managed to attract its attention. Ship approached the island and took the party back to their place. In the end, Chriton was shown with hands on knees, back bent ready to take orders from Lord Loam in the third Act. This is how circumstance change the cases. My intention of wrting my old read story is to tell you not to bother much but think properly in the present situation and take a rational decision, beneficial to you but not harmful to others. Finally he is further advice which I give to all, my children in particular Learn from Past, Enjoy Present and Plan for Future!!!!:) :) :) |

The sheeple usually have a very hard time being awakened, and many times die before it happens. From my experience calling attention to injustice usually gets you nowhere. What gets attention is a lawsuit. ![]() "My one regret in life is that I'm not somebody else." - Woody Allen

You have no right whatsoever to go against their wishes, you can either be a member under their rules or you can leave. I just wish we could get them separated from sucking on the taxpayer's teat. If they want to be a private organization, they should get no government money or priviledges whatsoever. |

Many of the founding father's were deists. You can become a Unitarian-Universalist. They believe nothing, but go to church. You can believe or not believe and still go there from my understanding. This would be a church, and the scouts would have to consider it. http://www.uua.org/ "My one regret in life is that I'm not somebody else." - Woody Allen |

I'm not lying to get to places. Bye bye scouts I'm just a fool caught in the rat race of life (Nathan Struth) please help me solve world hunger, It's hard to do it alone. |
