| don't care Location: NY Posts: 267 | Will Human Nature ever change? Does anyone think human nature shall ever change? The nature of anger, sadness, hapiness, life itself? The act of learning the hard way, never being persuaded or too persuadable as the scale goes. Hardheadedness, ignoring facts? I'm just a fool caught in the rat race of life (Nathan Struth) please help me solve world hunger, It's hard to do it alone. |

I suppose one could look at history and extrapolate the trend... Though your questions are far too general to give a definite answer. The more painless an exercise, the more likely you are of doing it. The more painful an exercise, the more likely you are of learning from it. |

| Molten Ash Posts: 73 | If we observe the evidence of history, the answer would definitely be no. But history is literally the study of the past - and while it has repeated itself, it's changed in many ways as well. The idea of individual freedom of choice was not always with humans from the start - it is seen as an unalienable right in today's world (and it's still being tested to this day as well.) It all depends on how much we as people are willing to work for a better world. Based on that, I can see the world maybe having a possibility to change, but not for a long time, and certainly not in any lazy ass, self-centered country like America. |

But on the opposite side to what you say are human nature, we have love, joy, life's blessings (meaning those wonderful times when things go your way), curiosity, thoughtfulness, exploration and discovery, and time, lots of time to learn more... |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 11 | Could you expand more greatly as to the human nature that you wonder if it can be changed? I don't think there is a human nature to change really. There is not a set of emotions that someone can have, that someone else can have the opposite. There is not a set of beliefs that a human can have, that someone else can have the opposite. There is not a set of actions that someone can do, that someone else can't do the opposite. Can humans physically change...yes. Both short term small changes, and long term evolutionary changes. Can humans emotionally change...yes. Both short term emotional state changes, and long term emotional tendancies. Can humans morally change....yes. Same split as above. Can humans religiously change...yes. etc... So unless you can further expand on this so called human nature, then really I don't see anything that hasn't/can't already be changed. |
