In my opinion we are given life for a reason. What that purpose is God only knows. Some live longer than others, while some only get to live for a very short period of time. I don't think that life is pointless. I think that as a humnag being we are to make the very best out of what we have. Tomorrow is never promised, so i live my life based on what i want to do. I believe in God and i think that there is a reason as to why he gave me the gift if life.

Do you care what lives or dies in this world?
In specific terms, nope, I don't generally care what lives or dies in this world, outside of those I am personally aquainted with. If some kid in Bangladesh drops dead of malnourishment today, that doesn't affect me personally. Should it?

Have we all forgot what we are here for?
We're here to live, breed and die. That's the purpose of life.

Do you think life lasts for ever?
Obviously life doesn't last forever. You're born, you live, you die, that's it. Your body is recycled into the next generation.

These really are pretty silly questions when you come right down to it. Most of it is wishful thinking, wanting to go on beyond your time so insisting that there's some magical, mystical purpose and reason for you to be here. The reality is, you're an insignificant biological entity on an insignificant planet, circling an insignificant star in an insignificant galaxy. To the universe, you mean less than squat. You're not even a cockroach worth swatting. Stop acting like you matter in the scheme of things and just LIVE!

There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

I believe that after death there is a heaven for the good and the right; also a hell for the wrong and non for given of there sins. I believe that we are as humans here on earth for the soul meaning of our test to get into the gates of heaven. We are here on earth to help one another in the task of getting into heaven and living for ever in the arms of Jesus crist our Lord. I know that my life is very important to me and others aswell. I am guily of one thing; i don't have a lot of heart when it comes to someone dieing that i don't know and for that i pray that God forgives me but i still know that we are here on earth to serve God and give him all of the praise.

The life of a Christian is a most difficult life. We walk by faith, not by sight. We believe in things not seen, and we do so with vehemence and passion.
Then why did God give you eyes? Just a feeble attempt to trick you i presume?

How do you then account for the millions of people who have lived and died never having been exposed to the teachings of your faith? What was the purpose of their lives?

    At Least Read It

[I have to make a few comments here! I do not believe that statement that life just happened and we got to just live it! There is a purpose for life! It is very true that we are nothing in this universe, but we can make big changes in this world. We are the humans that make this world, and we can change the direction of where our world is going to. Do not forget that or world is big and complex enough and to understand it. We are the ones who are destroying everything! Actually, it is for just living without reason that we have destroyed that world so much that we have a global warning now. I believe that if we disappear is because of our own wish and responsibility. We are the ones that do everything wrong not others or God!
Another thing is that I do not care so much about who dies or lives, but if it does not really matter why do you eat? Why do you take care of yourself? Why do you work and protect yourself? Because living or dying does not matter???? I know that our universe is very complex, but it is true that we are here as part of something! God created us as a part of something and he is smart enough to know why!
One of the thing that is very important in life is learning! I believe that we life to learn and that is one of the most beautiful things in this life that would help us in our after life! Without learning we are dead so this might be a reason for not finding live interesting. Almighty God is the one that gave us peace and love and salvation and this are all that good things of life. We humans have messed everything up with our selfishness and stupidity of our proud heart. We are the ones that have created barriers and limits in everyone of us.
I want to help out solve world hunger, and if each of us would do it would be easier to help others.
We are here to learn that we have to learn a lot and we have to develop and improve ourselves. We are here to help each other and the life of our next generation something better and they the same to all of us and that repeats over and over.
I feel this question “does live really matters?” like depression and no purpose. I think that if one feel like this is because he/she is not doing what we are supposed to do. Wisdom, knowledge, and love is what we have to reach and understand. We should set up goals that will help us fulfill all this. Trust me! it is not easy to go to school, then to the gym, then to work, then to practice. I believe that we have to set different goals in order to be complete. When we do this we are good. If one is a parasite of some other that is not good and if so that one would not feel good. Do not steal and that includes your parents, partners and so on.
If we set up goals like “Goals in education, fitness, spiritual matters, ourselves, financially, helping others, and so on” no one of us would be wasting time. If we live we have a power that we should not waste. Your life is very important so do not waste it. If we start helping others and trying to solve problems that are priorities like world hunger, pollution, ignorance, and so on, we would be done by now. Unity and do what is good so that is why we live. As God what should we do! Please everyone should pray and we will get an answer.

To whomever commented "I don't believe there is any purpose to life since I believe life occurs on this planet simply because it can.." I suppose your comment to be purposeful. If live is without purpose, how then do you ascribe purpose to your comment?

Most of the statements are true except "God created us". To me, universe truely very complex is auto created eternally which by itself is perfect in all the respects. Therefore, can be without any difficulty be given the name GOD

The power behind the this Universe is beyond conception. This universe is that powers manifested state. The reason for the existence of you as individual is your own sweet wish and the purpose is to be happy. This happiness, as you rightly said, would be achieved by performing good actions.

    For you my friend Kuldeep!

"Most of the statements are true except "God created us". To me, universe truely very complex is auto created eternally which by itself is perfect in all the respects. Therefore, can be without any difficulty be given the name GOD"

Well, I know that most of my statements are true, but I believe in a higher source of life. Higher source that have a purpouse for us and it is not just to do right actions but to destroy our ego and selfishness. I do not accept the concept of evolution or big bang. I do not believe it because this universe is perfect, although we may think differently, it still is perfect! I agree with you in this! We are the ones that are not in harmony with our universe so whatever we do we are not smart enough to realize that there is a consequence for every action. We are not doing good so that is why everything goes wrong! Einstein discovered the basis of the atomic bomb, but he did not know that it was going to be a massive destruction weapon. Even though we have the best intention it goes wrong! Internet was meant to be a communication tool, but it is used for all the wrong purposes now! Every product that comes out to be market has a consequence in the environment and us. Every single invention, discovery, has a effect, but it seems that we have not noticed that. We have a purpouse as well as everything so the key of the universe is purpose! Without it you will be destroyed or simply would not exist! We believe that we are disconnected to this world, but we are so wrong because everything is connected and very important to each other. All the things have an order, purpose, and affects the rest. This world is so perfect that I can not support such theories that make absolutely no sense. I do not believe that nature created itself or that we came out of nowhere, or that it is because it can, or that it just accidentally happened.
This is why i believe it: I have experience myself the grace and love of God, so I cannot say that he does not exist when I have communion with him. I personally believe that OUR FATHER is in control of everything and he knows what he is doing! All what I can say is " if life has no purpose why are you here? just die then? or Why do your lungs work? Why are there trees on the face of the earth? Why animals? Why air?" These simple examples of that everything has a purpose. Nature is fulfilling its purpose perfectly? Why do not we? Do we have a purpose too!? Do you know? Well this is why our world is like it is! I am sure that our purpose is not bad. Our purpose is a very good one, but we have turned against our source, so cannot understand our purpose because we believe that we can and that we do everything (individual selfishness, ego, mother of the proud and superior believes). Better go back to the source of all perfection and goodness and sure we will find our purpose! This is what I have seen myself and I believe it! Love is the key!

Where you go after your body dies depends on how you have lived, how much you have learned, how you treat others. Of course this life is important, live it the best you know how, go as far as your talents (which you have so diligently developed) take you but don't step on heads getting there because the means do not justify the end results.

You go nowhere. Your brain activity stops, your individuality ceases to be and your body goes in the ground, or up in smoke, depending on how your next of kin decides to dispose of you.

    Prove otherwise.
