| Shifting Paradigms Location: Flowery Branch, GA Posts: 3,102 | What is your superpower, and what will you do with it? My wife and I love the new show "Heros" - it is very well written and produced. Anyway... I am curious what your superpower is (being realistic). As my title suggests, my superpower is the dreaded Chaos Effect. Wherever I go, whatever I do, I bring chaos to the world. Things that are supposed to work a certain way just don't work around me. I realize this is more of a supervillain kind of power that a superhero kind of power. But, alas, I am just not the villain type. So, instead, I believe I have found a way to use my power for good. When I am involved in creating a system or working with a system I am always the first to spot the flaws (since they will inevitably come out in my presence). I hope to develop this so that I can use my 'power' to make systems work in a foolproof way. 'course, my chaos jinx is fully explainable by non-paranormal means. Calling it the Chaos Effect is just a fun way of making it less stressful for me. So, what is your 'superpower' (or Knack, for those of you who are Orson Scott Card fans) and what do you do with it? In my inexperienced stages, this would mostly just mean manipulating fire, but as I grow to understand my power more and the science behind it, I become able to move things in an almost telekinetic fashion, change the chemical composition of things by increasing or decreasing their energy making them gain or lose electrons, protons, or other atoms, manipulate pretty much anything, even heal people. If I am injured, I can take ordinary dirt and transform it into biomatter and automatically restore myself. My power, however, is limited to how much I know. Otherwise, I would just wreak havoc. I cannot, for example, manipulate the electrochemical processes in the brain to alter someone's perceptions, thoughts, or memory because no one really knows how the brain works, least of all me. I would probably just kill someone if I tried. Because of my early experimentation with fire and my uncanny ability to heal myself, I got a name related to my handle. Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. -- Song 8:6 |

Alternatively, showing my true inner geek, just turn me into a vampire. My knack in real life is my ability to become the alpha in any group, usually without the deposed being pissed about it. I can employ an authoritative tone of voice and manner that shuts people up and gets them to do as is needed. | Absolutely Superb Posts: 774 | My knack is for being completely unnoticed and unobtrusive, to a ridiculous extreme. I'm just one of those kinds of people that are invisible to others when not viewed directly. It's more empowering than most would think. I've picked up on a lot of blackmail material and gossip on some of the others around me thanks to it. |

Also, a really big hat can work too. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill

They probably would nix the big hat, and for most others I'd recommend losing a big hat as well, too many times it looks like the hat is wearing you.

Well by big hat I meant an eye catching one, I didn't mean the sombrero. If you in the right kit, a cowboy hat tops it off perfectly. On nights out at least, women won't leave the hat alone...
