| Molten Ash Posts: 132 | To sum up mine is to say that I don't have a religion. It is a relationship. I commune with God daily and I have to admit, obedience is a point I must be stronger in. I would say that the Bible is the Word of God, the most unique literature and the most reasonable in answering origin, condition, salvation and destiny. I would also say that if it's not biblical I don't believe it and am very conservative in my views. I do believe that Christians should be involved in politics and society and in all aspects of society as well as in the community. Church is a place wherever the believer dwells, whether on Sunday or not. |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 5 | I am agnostic because, well, i don't want to associate myself with any religion that tells me what to believe. im not atheist because i believe that their is a possibility of god being real. And just like one of my favorite quotes i've read, this is why i am agnostic. "I don't hate god, I just hate his fan club." |

| Molten Ash Location: Groningen Posts: 30 | I'm an atheist in the weak sense ("I don't believe in a god") or an agnostic in the weak sense ("I don't know whether there is a god"); I'm not sure whether we can actually know if there's a god, but heck, it is a bit unlikely. We laugh at thundergods or seagods, but still opt for an "almighty god" who controls both? If the existing god is the one of religious stories or characterizations, it is a self-contradictory or unreliable (let alone scientifically testable or falsifiable) god; if it is beyond our human imaginations, it becomes a meaningless god (nothing sensible can be said about it, for it doesn't do anything comprehensible, except, perhaps, just be there beyond the knowable). I find religion (or: belief systems) much more interesting than a god. Self-deception does not alter truth. |

| Immovable Location: Montana Posts: 200 | I guess I'm technically an atheist. I don't know if God exists because I haven't perceived him. I haven't seen him, heard him, touched him, etc. If you can't sense something by my logic it doesn't exist. | Guest Posts: n/a | No one commentated on your religion mate, so don't go challenging others beliefs systems. If I am wrong in this correct me, but I was under the assumption that this thread was in place to merely list your religion and what you believe, not have an assortment of God deniers commentate on the ways in which people with faith, view it. |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 226 | I would have to say that I am buddhist. It seems to answer a lot of spiritual questions that I have had for years. I think spirituality is part of human nature, although, it is not possible to define it as it means something different to every single person out there. | What do you think? Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 24 | In many ways I'd like to be a Socratesian.... or an Ayn Randian.... or a Jesusian.... sometimes an Alan Wattsian..... I guess I don't have a specific religion. I can't really claim to support the whole entire doctorine of one of them. Lets call mine human. Now everybody is part of my religion (to help support Derek's religion, please send check or money order to his mailing adress) |

| Molten Ash Posts: 132 | It's apparent that you don't know much about the Bible, because Obadiah doesn't have anything close to 41 verses, let alone chapters (21 verses to be exact) just a little humor there--I dont want this to steam into a debate since that was not the intention but I found your reference to Obadiah funny or more precisely Obeydiah 41 |

| Republican Christian Location: Florida Posts: 27 | I'm a Protestant Christian. I'm non-denominational, so I'm not "Lutheran" or "Baptist" or what not. However, I am also very logical and scientific. I believe in evolution, that the age of the universe is in the billions, and most other things the scientific community believes in. If you are confused about this, please ask and I'll try to explain, I'm just not currently in the mood to write a book. =) Vote Republican 2008! |
