Women, Men, and the Bible

These days, the idea that women and men are the same is becoming more and more popular. The modern feminist movement would have women treated and paid the exact same as men in all circumstances. However, the Bible goes so far as to tell women to be silent in the church.
Quote:
"Women should be silent during church meetings. They are not to take part in the discussion, for they are subordinate to men, as the scriptures also declare. If they have any questions to ask, let them ask their husbands at home, for it is improper for women to express their opinions at church meetings."
I Corinthians 14:34
I'm not a hater, I just want opinions on the issue.

Just someone who is sick and tired of gray areas, political correctness, and the entitlement mindset.

This is a portion of Sourner Truth's famous Ain't I a Woman speech
Ain't I a Woman? Sojourner Truth, 1851

"Den dat little man in black dar, he say women can't have as much rights as men, 'cause Christ wan't a woman! Whar did your Christ come from?" Rolling thunder couldn't have stilled that crowd, as did those deep, wonderful tones, as she stood there with outstretched arms and eyes of fire. Raising her voice still louder, she repeated, "Whar did your Christ come from? From God and a woman! Man had nothin' to do wid Him." Oh, what a rebuke that was to that little man.
Turning again to another objector, she took up the defense of Mother Eve. I can not follow her through it all. It was pointed, and witty, and solemn; eliciting at almost every sentence deafening applause; and she ended by asserting: "If de fust woman God ever made was strong enough to turn de world upside down all alone, dese women togedder (and she glanced her eye over the platform) ought to be able to turn it back, and get it right side up again! And now dey is asking to do it, de men better let 'em." Long-continued cheering greeted this. "Bleeged to ye for hearin' on me, and now old Sojourner han't got nothin' more to say."

Paul, the writer of Corinthians, was a misogynistic bastard with epilepsy. He never knew Jesus, and only claimed to see him after he had an epileptic attack on the road to Damascus? Don't believe me? Google it. The misogynistic part is personal opinion, I can't prove he was, but that verse tells the whole story.

It kills me when people think they need to follow the bible word for word, when clearly, a lot of the stuff was and is written for a different period of time. The only thing people should be taking literally out of the bible are certain moral codes that are timeless.... Hmmm Don't murder, don't steal, treat others with respect, ignore (if you can) antagonists, help those who can't help themselves.... and maybe a few others. Most of the moral codes one should be following aren't really biblical codes anyway, most people world wide follow the above to some degree without ever having read the bible. These morals are inherent in most people. The problem with the bible is that it gives you a "get out of hell free" card by offering forgiveness when you don't follow the inherent moral codes. Without the bible, you need to do the responsible thing and get forgiveness from the transgressee and pay the price for your sins on your own.[/rant]

If a woman can do a job as well as or better than a man, then I say let her do it and pay her fairly and equally.

The bible as you know it represents sin

The original stone tablets of the Ten Commandments are the ONLY legitimate Words of God. All texts written by man since then are exactly what the Ten Commandments said they would be, vial.

You shall have no other gods before Me & You shall not make for yourself an idol. You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God.

So what happens, people write for themselves the Bible, Kuran, and a variety of other texts to idolize. Leading people to believe that they will be forgiven for doing vial acts against the Ten Commandments.

In EVERY publication since the stone tablets, PEOPLE have sought to gain reverence by other people. ALL Priests, Rabis, Prophets, Preachers, and other persons and texts that admonish the Lord and God in service of their own desires, are in FACT purveyors of works AGAINST the original stone tablets. A person can neither add to nor subtract from the words of the stone tablets without deviating from the words of God. The stone tablets are the basis for the most popular religions, and are the ONLY words directly transcribed by GOD. It can NOT be interpretated by any person, it can only be read by each person.

Nowhere in the stone tablets does it infer that ANY person shall listen to any other person for guidance. NO PERSON shall interpret the stone tablets for another person. To do so is to speak in the LORDS name.

Since no person can speak in the Lords name, then ALL prophets are purveyors of works against the words of God and the ONLY words directly written by God, the Ten Commandments.

A person can be mentally inspired, possess desire, be good intentioned, and verbally eloquent. The words transcribed upon parchment alter with language and time. God wrote its words in stone, not on parchment. The words of the Ten Commandments were intended to last for all time. I suspect the tablets still exist.
