| Molten Ash Posts: 67 | Of course it is. It is an irrational belief in supernatural creatures and/or forces for which there is no verifiable proof. That is the very definition of faith and therefore religion. Which is why atheism and agnosticism and humanism are not religions. They are worldviews whose principles are rooted in evidentiary fact and logic. |

Questioning your own worldview, eh? That sounds like a good sign. Quote:
No, but thanks. If it were worth anything you would have quoted right here.

I said what I said about it. That is the end of the discussion. That you do not have the balls is nothing new, but I shall not waste my time with your corrupt websites.

They're just lost. You think you're found, but your attitude isn't gratitude, it's accusation and sarcasm... Very clearly this rule applies only to me. Thanks for making that clear. Quote:

And I dictate the terms of the discussion. You get snotty with me and I disregard your ravings. But then you have your God-hating pals running the joint, so you are not held to a standard of decency or behavior, which means I make such decisions. :-) (Nor do I read private messages, which are just as easily deleted as ignored.)

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | I had to vote "other" because it is not totally just a religion, for some it is just a form of religious worship or belief, but for others it is not realistically a religion. Some view it as a crusade that has strong political overtones. Some view it as a social event where you can find entertainment and network with members of your comunnity (which is good for business purposes). Some see it as a dependancy that helps them to overocme phychological problems. So it would depend upon why a person attends a Christian church as to rather it is a true religion or not. At least relative to individuals. |

When polls ask citizens if they're religious, they seem to understand the term adequately. Kindly quote or re-state the exact definition referenced here. I answered the poll based on the generality of the term. "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. With like-minded people one can only participate in a church service, and you know how I feel about church services." Ayaan Hirsi Ali

| Retired Posts: 7,312 | Or was that the intent? To ask and receive answers on the general meaning of the term? (late, tired, maybe not understanding) "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. With like-minded people one can only participate in a church service, and you know how I feel about church services." Ayaan Hirsi Ali |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 250 | Paul invented Christianity to fleece gullible people. It is the longest running pyramid scheme in history; new suckers are buying into it every day. Paul tried to escape prosecution by claiming Roman citizenship, but Nero put an end to him. |
