I'll address some of the other stuff later when I have time, but yes I do think you are far better then a christian...an overly open mind is definitly better then an overly closed mind.
I find such topics interesting and enjoy those who advocate alternitive thinkning - and some of the "out of the box" ideas. However I am just presenting an assortment of topics because this forum normally is lacking in that department. But I do not "believe" in anything as some sort of absolute "final" thruism as one might believe in a God or some religious textbook. Perhaps I believe in the "mystery" and I hope it remains as such for a long time to come. However I have for the most part avoided the nutty stuff that is too far out.

The pyramids off Japan are real, and it is about our history.

The crystal skulls are real relics from history that appear to be impossible to have been created by our current standards (of knowledge).

Ufology is one of the lastest para-religious beleif systems to surface - and hundreds upon hundreds of webpages are devoted to the topic. As the 2000 "Jesus" age closed and the age of Aquarious dawned we witnessed a mulitutde of "alternative belief systems" surfacing to compete for first place, and among them was the ufo concepts - something new and different to have faith in - and due to the massive amount of attention directed towards that situation makes it something worthwhile taking note of. That activity which is happening right before our eyes is a repeat of what happened as the Christian belief system emerged some 2000 and so years ago. Thusly - worth observing and learning about in order to advance our perceptions about "concept construction" in the making.
Keep in mind that 14 years ago the "holy rollers" were laughed at and viewed as a wacky bunch of people - as a odd branch of mainstream Christian chruches - now they have millions of believers and have become one of the most major denominations of the Christian movement. So "wacky" is often just a temporary stage early in the formulation of a momentum that might (or might not) become mainstream. As cults become cultures.

But needless to say we should take everything with a grain of salt, and avoid getting "hooked" if at all possible. While not getting so isolated that we loose all interest in all the fun stuff happening in the world around us.

I posted articles by those who have the best reputation in the fields of alternative thinking - Carl Jung, Terrence McKenna, and others who work in or for a university and are directly involved in the research projects. The "cave of letters" post about the Jewish Pagan Goddess was not the product of some "uninformed wacky guy" but he was part of the team that explored the cave and he has his degree and is employed by a university of higher learning. Not just some "flake". Now I might be a flake because I do not have such a background, but the people mentioned do.

As a side note I mentioned that one of the many theories about how the pyramid rocks were moved is "mind power" - and that is true - a number of people have written about that theory - but I agree it is the less likely "possible" of them all - and the closest to being "wacky" within the bunch of theories now circulating. "Wacky" only because it has little evidence to support it and because few really "important" people (who demonstrate above average intelligence) have advocated that theory.
However our mind is yet uncharted territory and it has not been explored in great detail, and no telling what the brain can or cannot do.

So come back when you got time - and acturally check out some of the web sites I provided as links - and then 'bash away" at them with your logical counter-opinions - or ... "get abducted by the Magic bus into the Mystery tour" and holler "yaa-hoooo" (in two part harmony).

I find it interesting that Nostradamus stopped his predictions at 2012.

I am still disappointed that the world didn't end on 6/6/06. I have a project to finish by Friday and if the world had ended yesterday, I would have been off the hook. Now we need to wait anothe rsix years? Damn.

I wonder how many times the end of world has been predicted? Hasn't happened yet.

Once more someone has made the error of thinking that this whole topic about 2012 has to do with the "end or the world" or somekind of bibilical doomsday.

Not so, because the end of history has nothing to do with the planet going through some great alteration or some big "blow out war".

You got prehistory (before people recorded happenings with words and symbols). You got history ( the recorded events) and so you can also have post-history (after we stop recording happenings in order to pass on a record to future generations).

So good news is you will not have to do schoolwork involving times-dates-and historical facts for each of those "times".

But I already went over this idea in postings listed above - that you can review if you so wish.

But please - down with doomsdayism.

End of time, end of the world, not such a big a difference really. About an equal probability of happening.
