| 9/11: Inside Job Location: Hawai'i, Big Island Posts: 10,437 | Are ALL Republicans a Bunch of Ninnies? Or only the ones on this board? I used to think Vicchio was bad. Now we have shield772, GodBlessAmerica, Zealot, Ceyotl, dthmstr254, deedee, James, and possibly a few more. They don't know history, can't see how the US is drifting toward tyranny and empire, think the world of the dumbest president in many generations, love war and see nothing wrong with a big fat deficit. Shit most of 'em can't even spell right! Is this representative of what's out there in the Heartland of Republicans? Let me tell you, people like our boy Zealot only help the cause of freedom by alienating all moderates, and providing an endless source of satire. Yes, I think they are representative of Heartland Republicans, in fact most know even less. |

| Hardcore Capitalist Location: North Carolina Posts: 759 | Unfortunately I think so. There are fewer and fewer paleoconservatives and more and more of these warhawkish neoconservatives, who pretend to be conservative but really aren't. You only have to look as far as all the fascist legislation that has passed while they have been in control to see they really aren't conservatives. | Market Anarchist Location: United States Posts: 650 | The Only Moral Solution I absolutely hate the left/right scale. I think an authoritarian/libertarian scale is much more accurate. Whether it's fascism or communism, it doesn't matter; an oppressive dictatorship is one of a kind. A lot of hardcore Democrats and hardcore Republicans would probably be grossly offended at suddenly all being lumped into the same pile. However, statism is statism, and even the strictest minarchists are statists. Minarchism is minimal statism. It is the question of how much statism and what sort of statism. There is, of course, only one, morally acceptable answer. One that will respect the nature of man, and his natural rights, and the virtues and values which he adopts. In this regard, the best, and most efficient, politico-economic system is a laissez-faire capitalism. Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito, qua tua te Fortuna sinet. |

Ironically, I think it's this 'solidarity' that's going to ruin the Republican party. On the bright side, many people are being forced into receiving a crash course on what good government should be about simply out of necessity. Also, I believe some Democrats might gain a greater appreciation for limited government after this as well. It was interesting to see some Democrats taking up some traditionally conservative issues like 'state's rights'. I was Republican for a long time until this war came around and a few of the talk show guys just couldn't admit any possibility of fault. It became obvious after a while that there are some people in power that are really playing with the media trying to whip people into a frenzy. It's disturbing to see how well it worked and it leaves me wondering what the next attempt will be ... Freedom - are you man enough to handle it? If so, join us in New Hampshire!
