![]() Son of X51 Location: San Diego Posts: 3,637 | Flash animation. I'm considering working on a new animated series. It doesn't have a title yet. "Murder of crows" or "Out in the morning". Any suggestions for a title? The "polaroid" format of these stills is for presentation purpose only, and the captions just give some context. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Compugasm; Nov 30, 2005 at 01:03 am. |

![]() Son of X51 Location: San Diego Posts: 3,637 | I was just sitting here contemplating this as a waste of time. Thanks for the encouragement! "Beautiful" is what I was trying to accomplish so I will try and improve. I didn't think anyone was interested thus far, because it's not like a typical joke and illustration you'd see in a newspaper. It's very abstract. My roommate said "harsh" was a good way to describe it. Since you're interested, I'll explain it a bit more. Background: It all started with this drawing ![]() This drawing is only funny to one guy at work. He does eCommerce stuff, and refers to himself as "the transaction monkey". I made a few more of those drawing with various cute vegetables doing happy things. Anyway, the "Murder of crows" posted here is the opposite of "Out in the morning". You might notice the transaction monkey dismembered in some images above. To answer your questions: What is "The List": "The list" was a skit about investment banking on Saturday Night Live like 20 years ago. The main banker decides to keep a list of all his clients. He decides later to make a copy of the list, should something happen to the original list. On the off chance someone remembers this skit, it has nothing to do with Christmas. Murder of crows "The List": The characters pictured thus far, would obviously be getting coal in their stockings. Maybe they get the idea to take Santas list and erase their names. Santa doesn't have an original copy of the list (the drawings caption is a quote from the SNL skit). In a bit of rage, they kill Santa and leave him laying under some sacks in the corner of the room. On deciding what to do next, they call Dr Laura for advice. Originally I made a "Pulp Fiction" reference with my character calling "The Wolf" from the movie. Unless you celebrate Christmas, like very "dull" colors, weird viewing perspective, or have heard callers on talk radio... the drawing probably isn't that interesting to alot of people. If I had to give a "pitch" to someone. I'd say "It's Dennis Miller meets Pablo Picaso meets Tim Burton". You have to look at the entire drawing to "get it". I'm pretty sure, most people don't want to think about hidden meanings of any comics. Hopefully I answered the questions. Last edited by Compugasm; Dec 3, 2005 at 03:03 am. |

It's one of those free magazines you only pick up and browse though when you're waiting in line for something. I think they had a readership of 30. I submitted, as a test so I could get a feel for what size modifications a printer might request me to make. Last edited by Compugasm; Dec 14, 2005 at 11:29 pm. |
