You mean those dynasties that were reined in and eventually dismantled by the (mostly) British? It's funny you pick three regions of the world that would be complete and utter backwaters if it weren't for the influence of "Western" thought (and money).
For each of those areas, their rise to modern power was directly a result of some influence from "Western" interests.

I'm glad China invented paper 10,000 years ago and had fireworks while the UK was still under Roman rule, but come on... There is a reason why English is the number one foreign language taught in the world (no other language is even close).

It's hubris to believe a snap shot of time,(while America was one of two superpowers, that english is the most common international language), can't change in a couple generations.Spanish and Chinese will eventually be more widely spoken, which doesn't set to well with white supremist folks.A Chinese poet long before western contact, seemed to have no problem in Chinese society, and was gay. If there wasn't the AIDS pandemic in China, the crunch of population limitation, probably would have led to more acceptance for gay couples, and may do so when AIDS is cured. Spain has legalized gay marriage, against the Catholic church's HUGE pressures not to, and they may be an example for other latino countries to throw off the yoke of Catholic bigotry towards gays and women.
There will be a major learning experience for this generation's grandchildren, that they aren't the center of the universe, so you might stress teaching them in several languages.

I didn't say that there might be different powers in the future. What I said was that by trying to rewrite history to over-emphasize the contributions of those other than white males of european descent, people are doing a disservice to students by not teaching them history the way it actually was.

I'm in my early 50's and when they taught me History, it was ONLY history as seen through western europe timeline of events, (if your culture was outside that framework, you didn't exist.) Since then there has been an attempt to show other Nations and cultures developing along with western Europe, which I find much more realistic and unbiased. It also gives children not of European descent, a sense of their culture's rich hertiage, and needed role models. The way they taught me History was the DISHONEST version, not the current one. When I took Native American History, and Women's Studies in college, it showed me all the things they convienently LEFT OUT of the homogenised version of history I was given. By and large the contributions of women and gays, (even if they were western European) also weren't taught 40 years ago.

Just don't expect me to move anywhere: most gay men make me slightly ill when I'm around them too long. I don't think you'll find a lot of worthwhile people willing to uproot their lives and leave their families.

So. At best, you'd create a gay resort island. At worst, you'd create a hellhole full of a bunch of slutty fags. ... How is this a solution, again?
