| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 3 | Next year hurricane season would be stronger? or same? I have experienced so many hurricanes throughout my life. I believe that each year there are more hurricanes and much stronger. I should now because i live in Mia, Fl. Does anybody think that one day the hurricane is going to go beyond the category scale? |

The average temprature of the gulf of mexico is 2 degrees warmer than it was 100 years ago. Therefore hurricanes can get stronger than before. It is also the case that tropical storms that would have blown themselves out in the past manage to get to the gulf and become minor hurricanes. So you will have more hurricanes and they will be stronger. The Saffir-simpson scale has been redifined several times so it has happen before that a hurricane has gone beyond that scale. Dont pray in my school and i wont think in your church. |
