SR church one of thousands to screen film based on Christian novels. The end of the world as seen by 35 people in a Santa Rosa church hall friday night, was a grim tableau of faith blended with politics amid predictions that those who don't believe in Jesus face an increasingly ugly existence.

The White house was in flames. An organization called the Global Community led by the Antichrist created chaos and evil. An underground group of born again Christians fought against him. A man who said he worked for God Almighty was executed by Global Community minions.

On its web site, the film's producers, Cloud Ten Pictures, billed the church-based premiere as "an entirely new distribution system that will not only challenge fundamental Hollywood rules but also provide churches with an enormous opportunity for outreach into their local communities."

Irma Gomez said, "People who watch this movie and pay attention, it will give them time to think, to choose. Should I at least investigate, at least read the Bible?
