While V is traveling, he asked me to review for new members. dthmstrs254 and njlemire87 have both requested membership, but I am not that familiar with their outlooks.

Please check their posts while you are on site and pm me your views. I have not contacted them yet so anytime within the next week should be fine.

Mia, is magyar275 still active? I didn't have time to really look at his/her posts. Do you think magy will stay active and wish to join? I've not had much time to active here lately so I probably have missed some things.

Oh yes, and try to let these guys know if you let them in via pm. They might not even realize it.

Do they have 10 posts? If so review them, if nothing jumps out as "wacko" or "radical tin foil hat" let them in, that was my standard, we can always vote them out if they turn out to be... not what we are looking for.

He's pretty busy in Afganistan fighting bad guys trying to make trouble before the elections!

Randoms cannot be invited - we have to see how they are first.

That's why I generally PM anyone with less then 10 posts they need 10 posts.

That's my minimum to get a feel for their views. My standards are pretty loose, but I do have a line in the sand if they cross I deny. Some people just make it clear they are not what we need, others take time. I trust RCNE's judgement, if I didn't I wouldn't have asked him to handle the gate keeping duties.

Besides, if someone isn't right later we can alays boot them. It's a nice thing to know that IF it needs be done, it can be.

Sean's right we need peeps, but at the same time, we have to ensure they are our people. One fo the first people to request entry into this was Starboy.... I think we can all agree that wouldn't be a good idea yes?

I read through their posts, they both seem OK. They both have quite a few posts and seem like they will contribute.

Active military discount - I invited him to join when he gets active here again. Even with only 3 posts rather than 10, he gets a discount since he's in the service. He's not a vet until he's not active service. My mistake.

Rcne, dthmstr said he never got the message. I enabled myself as a forum leader just to investigate, and all of those join requests were still pending. I "stickied" a link to the area that will show pending memberships. I am sure you saw it when you entered this forum :)

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?
