The game ALREADY has scenes of violence and murder, pimps smacking hos etc. The game ALREADY only can be purchased by adults 18+ And now some uptight lawmakers are bitching because of some poorly simulated sex that needs to be unlocked. Thats bullshit. Parents keep *very* close tabs on what thier children are entertained by, and should know if the game has nuduty in it. That's what the rating system is for. Since those scenes were hidden, the rating was not accurate. The rating was "T" (for teen), which means that the game can have theft, violance, carjacking, gang themes, drugs, cop killing and old woman beating. Just think of it! Those poor parents not knowing that the game in fact had theft, violance, carjacking, gang themes, drugs, cop killing, old woman beating and nudity. All of those parents hoodwinked into thinking that the game was wholesome family entertainment, when in fact it was full of adult themes that they never could have guessed were in it. And that rating is also very important because "T" games can be bought by 17 year olds, but to buy a "M" game you must be 18. That extra year certainly makes all the difference in being mature enough to handle the content. | The Professor Location: Owasso, OK Posts: 652 | Honestly, these games are pretty stupid anyway, so I don't feel bad if they are harder to find. There isn't any real substance. It is a way for normal people to do all sorts of junk they wouldn't or couldn't in real life. Keep in mind it is some people's jobs to fix stuff like this. If the company said the scenes weren't in there, bit actually put them in, then someone is supposed to fix it. Just a thought. |

| Thats Me Location: Where Am I Again?!?! Posts: 177 | The game rating system is totally outdated. The rating group is a group of industry insiders that decide what the rating will be. NO ONE except those that work on/with the rating board know the exact criteria that are used to rate games. This leaves room for varation between different games. And the rating mean little to many persons, for they dont tell what of the many criteria are met with each rating. A game might get a M but you dont really know for what EXACT part it sepreated it from a T. "Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. Needless to say, if there are nude sex scenes in a game, the rating should have been AO from the get go. You get in trouble when you hide or fail to disclose things. | |
