I know there are some posters that you wanna strnagle, or run over, or put thier dog in a blender.... but can I make a request please?

REPORT the post, and explain why. I have heard, from a little bird, that some think using that function is "weak".

Meh it ain't and let me tell you why, if you return fire as it were, and attack back,m they win. They'll report you and you will be the bad guy.

Also, remember this is a debate forum, not a propoganda fight, debate the lefties don't push blind rhetoric.

Sorry fi this sounds funky today but I have a wedding to make happen and my mother-in-law to be is very ill.

Mr V. is correct. The report feature is a way to get the mods to look at a thread. Now they may decide that it is not out of bounds, for thats all we really look at.

A healthy debate, without slamming is the goal. If you can get them to concede a point then you as a debater have done your job.

Some will never admit that you have made your point, but other readers of the thread will.

So, if it comes to slamming report it. Usually a PM works to get it back on track. Believe it or not our intention in not to hand out warnings easily.

Warnings are only a last resort when all else fails. That is unless - as I'm sure some of you have experienced - someone comes in trolling.

Make the Wedding happen Mr. V. - I'm curious how marriage will domesticate you. Ha

Yes. Mr Vic. You are correct. I am going to try to use the feature as much as I don't like to.

I enocourage everyone to do so as it's pretty clear the other side uses it continually.

I'm looking at some of the reports and it seems like somethings are being pulled out of the air. I'll go back through it one more time to try to make some sense out of it.

Mr V knows all about getting hammered. The last time it happened is when I changed my mind about a private groups and decided to join.

Edit: I just got pulled - I need to do some work may not be able to check this out.

Analog, not to dismiss you concerns and complaints, or sound ike an old man "when I was a kid we had to walk 5 miles uphill inthe snow..."

BUT...

When I first got here there was a poster, his name was roxxdog, and he was the ringleader of some mad crazy left wing shit. I was the only Bush supporter for a while and let me tell you what...

Volconvo has some serious hurdles left, but it's much better then before.

It's good that you've made some progress. Im still not sure about the warning thing as some things are still not clear.

I reported a post last night that was a direct personal attack. The offender just got a warning, was not issued any "points".
In attempting to clarify why, I couldn't get a straight answer.
I received a PM from another member, a conservative, who got a warning points for an offense far less that what I had reported.
Maybe he'll post it.

I think this was about a week ago, but I reported a post on something...Im not sure if I can remember what it was about now, but I never recieved any kind of conformation or anything from a moderator. I believe the post is still there too.

I have no problems with being reported..If I did i wouldn't type it. I am usually aware of every word I type and every message I wish to convey....if I insult and go to far (which is only when I am REACTING to a post that went to far) I expect to get reported ...it is a choice I made. Here there is very little consistancy. The thread in question went over 100 posts of insults, mischaracterizations, distortions, logical fallacies, and basically ZERO debating from the left. It strikes me as odd since I was given a tiny warning here about "no one liners" after my 2nd post ever.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?
