I think it's so sad today that Christianity and patriotism are just a conservative ideas. :( "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible." -- George Washington

I am not going to go to Hell. I have been forgiven of all my sins with Jesus' sacrifice. It seems to me that if you don't know Jesus, then He won't know you on Judgment Day. He will say, "Depart, I know you not." And then it's eternal separation from all good and holiness. Do you not see the plank in your own. As you do to the least among these, you do to me. Those kind of things James, not the law of the Old Testament, but the superceeding law of the New Testament. Not Paul's opinion of the message, but the message itself. |

Oh, I have sinned. So has everyone, so we must all just pretend like nothing's wrong and never try to save anyone, I have no room to talk! I've got to let everyone wander through life blind! But, I have no sin now. It's been forgotten by God, and His opinion is the only one I'm concerned with. James, you really are digging a hole here.... I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered. -George Best, on being asked what he did with his footballing fortunes.

Thats called insanity James.....insanity with a fundamental bend to it. Go and be a soldier...its probably a good profession for you to be honest. No questioning, nothing to do but follow orders. Trust me some of those orders are going to be against your faith and you are not going to get the option of being able to choose. For example when you are firing back at the enemy what happens if you murder an innocent by accident?, then you have murdered a person and you are on the receiving end of Gods justice. Your best bet to live a happy sinless existence is to grow up live i nthe suburbs get a bbq have a few beers every weekend kick back and let the world pass you by. Avoid conflict if possible and try to help others and live a happy life...surely thats obvious? I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me. Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime." (Ernest Hemingway) |

Bible spewing intolerance is not only unfunny also ugly. Rick "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Sinclair Lewis |

| Redskins Rule Location: South-Western Virginia Posts: 2,570 | "Correction: In the Bible the Pharisees asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was. He said, "Love thy God with all thine heart." Ask any of these Bible scholar atheists, they'll tell you that I'm right." In that you have accurately reported the beginning of this quote, you are right. But there is more and you probably know that. "39 And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." The essential problem that Jesus had with the Pharisees is that they have become obsessed with the letter of the law and forgotten the spirit of the law. He is reminding them that God is a god of compassion, love and mercy and if they want to be right with God, and live in the way he wants, they need to bring love and compassion back to it's rightful place and not worry so much about whether the people were bringing exactlly the right offerings, or if it was ok to gather food on the sabboth. "All the words of y mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them."-Proverbs 8:8 I do not claim that there was anyting perverse in the Old Testament, only that it was superceeded. You do not teach a 5 year old the same way you teach an 18 year old and what was valid in the beginning is no longer valid because of Christ. You no longer give blood sacrifice because his blood superceeded and atoned for all. That is a basic tennent of the Church, all Christian churches. Christ's over-riding message is a message of love and forgiveness. He probably condemed hipocracy more than anything else, and yet, so many of his followers turn a blind eye to the hipocracy in their churches and their leaders. I could give a million more example but I do not wish to drone on for ever. |

Killing by accident is not murder. That has even been established in America's courts. And a sinless existence is impossible... -"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"-Romans 3:10 -"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."-Romans 3:23 ...especially in America's suburbs. This is one of the most sinful countries in the world! I can't save myself by having a cookout and drinking. (Oh, and by the way-in the South they're called cookouts. Barbecue is something you eat.) -"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;"-Ephesians 5:18 Avoid conflict?! That's one thing that is wrong with America today. Nobody wants to offend anyone or cause any disagreements... but me, that is. Okay, let's say your next door neighbor was beating his wife and kids and you saw him do it one day. Would you call the police and do the right thing to put a stop to the problem, or would you just act like you never saw anything? Ooh, let's not worry about what's right or wrong as long as there's no confrontation... -"And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."-Matthew 10:22 -"Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:32 -"And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."-Matthew 11:6 -"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."-Romans 10:17 Responses, please...:) "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible." -- George Washington |

| Molten Ash Posts: 94 | my thinking on this is if you follow the exact words of jesus or 'god', great, that is awesome, but overtime people added to the bible to form it to what they want, masking the true meanings of jesus's original words cheesenuggett.com is a great site with both games, and flash animations! check it out! also be sure to post on my message board! it rocks! |

| Redskins Rule Location: South-Western Virginia Posts: 2,570 | James- Are you aware that Allah is simply the Arabic word for God? Are you aware that the people who use the Quran as holy scripture worship the same God that you do? That the Quran cosiders Jesus a prophet? That Abraham is the "father" of both religions? Now, I'm sure you believe that the Quran is a corruption of God's word. Yet, he allows it to exist. Does that not disprove your above post? |
