What he means is, tb, is that you are swallowing the 'standard' (ie administration) definition of terrorist hook, line, and sinker, without even thinking that there's an alternative or that they just might be painting them like that for their own ends. I don't know what 'standard' definition you're referring to. So I don't even know what I'm supposed/alleged to have 'swallowed hook line and sinker'. I do know, however, that the acts of those who kidnap, behead and bomb innocent civilians deliberately and with the purpose of intimidating governments/populations as a means of blackmailing them into giving them what they want are without a doubt terrorist in nature.

In November, 2004, a UN panel defined terrorism as: "Any action intended to cause death or serious bodily harm to civilians, non-combatants when the purpose of such act, by its nature or context, is to intimidate a population or compel a government or an international organization to do or to abstain from doing any act."

The point is only OTHER people's acts that fit this definition are called terrorists. The term has no meaning anymore because the labelers don't apply it evenly.
