| Igneous Magma Location: PA Posts: 328 | Doctors In UK Want a Ban on Knives Everything that causes injury and death should be banned. Check out the latest from the UK where doctors want a ban on long bladed knives. And since they are blaming alcohol and drugs, why aren't they calling for a ban on them also? Oh, and crime, too. If crime leads to deaths, shouldn't crime be banned? After all, bans remove the bad things that cause deaths, right? Surely gun bans means no one will have access to guns. Sheesh, I thought it was against the law to attack anyone with anything to cause bodily harm in most civilized countries. Since the popularity of gun control, in which the gun is to blame, it seems that people are no longer responsible for any of these actions. And banning the private ownership of vehicles, since they probably kill more innocent people than any other object used by the ordinary citizen, is a good place to start. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4581871.stm Quote:
Do you think maybe they should ban kitchens and cooking also, since that's where most knives are used? Personal responsibility has died and in its place we have government bans and controls. Isn't it time the people took back responsibility for their own actions? | |
