Zink if you like the blues, try Smokin' Joe Kubek, BB King, or one of my favorites, Alvin Youngblood Hart.

Do you like Bonnie Raitt?

How about Buddy Guy?

If you like Stevie Ray Vaughan, you're gonna like Chris Duarte. Those guys are SMOKIN!

For something raw try Son Seals.

How about Gary Moore?

If you want some laffs listen to Hound Dog Taylor. His stuff is ridiculously distorted but cool...

One I discovered a while back is an American Indian band called Indigenous.

Edit: And I don't know why, but I just thought of Professor Longhair
Wow, thanks for the recommendations! I haven't heard about more than half of thse guys.

That said, I looked up "Blues musicians" on wikipediaand found this awesome list(sorted by era and genre, no less!) - I'm planning on listening to as many of these people as possible before I die: List of blues musicians - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Could you recommend me some Blues bands if you like?
In addition to PH's suggestions, there's some great stuff from outside the US. From north of the border: Colin James, McKenna Mendelson Mainline, and the Downchild Blues Band. Especially the latter with Rick "The Hock" Walsh's absolutely unbeatable Blues voice.

And from the UK: The Blues Band (featuring Paul Jones).

Man, I don't recognize anyone here anymore. It's been a while.

For anyone who cares, I was pretty active on Volconvo about a year and a half ago, but have not beeen involved because I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons).

I thought I would just post in to see who was around and remind anyone who remembers me that I'm still alive. I will finish my service in about six months and come back to Volconvo sometime in October.

Good luck, stay safe.

Hey, Prometheus! Good to see you haven't forgotten us!

I was thinking about you and your mission the other day. Figgering you must be getting done with it sometime soon. Is the bishop making you shave yer beard?

Come on back to the board when you can. Whatcha gonna do when you get back to Utah for good?

Just to give you a heads up, you may see me doing some serious Mormon bashing on this board. I lived in the Salt Lake-Ogden UT area for 16 years and had some pretty bad experiences. I know it's like blaming all Christians for the idocy of Rev Phelps, but it's hard not to generalise, so I'm apologizing ahead of time.
