Are people in the military the adolescent assholes that Vicchio would have us believe that they are? Case in point:

"Adn you would piss your pants if I, or any other member of the Armed Forces decided you need an objective lesson in reality. You are a PUSSY. You talk trash on a lefting, hate America forum. Wow... when was the last time you got SHOT at to defend your country.. oh that's right, we aren't risking our lives for you, it's for a big crime syndaicate that only enlightenned people like you can see..."

I take some of the blame for egging him on. But to answer your question: certainly not all but MANY. Especially the new recruits. You should hear what my vietnam veteren, REPUBLICAN neighbor (Listening Vicchio?) says about Bush, Iraq, "War on Terror/Bush's Business Partners", etc...

Assuming you're specifically talking about - " if I, or any other member of the Armed Forces decided you need an objective lesson in reality." - as that's not even a real specific course of action(I'm guessing your're taking that as a threat) it's hard to say what he was getting at, but sometimes people do need a lesson in reality...and rants happen. I think you're reading too much into this....his words didn't come across as meaning that everyone in the military is an adolescent to me...and I'll leave it at that.

Knows a few things about the military folks, one of which is, we don't like to be verbally spit on. Now, you see us on base, in uniform or what not... we'll ignore you. We won't care WHAT you have to say. It's your right.

But on the flip side, if you really think we're all just a bunch of thugs, murderers... employees for a criminal enterpirise wontonly killing for fun... ya knwo the general sentiment many of you express about the US Armed Forces and it's conduct... well you come see us in a less formal setting, we'll try to explain how you're mistaken, but when you actually bust out with some of these ATROCIOUS and PATHECTICALLY unfounded claims.. 9 times out of 10 (and almost certainly with the Marines) you'll get an attitude adjustment, the old fashioned way.

Now I think personally, I scared poor Gorgo, did you need a second trip to your shrink, maybe slept with your secruity blanket last night?

I think people in the military have an obligation to defy illegal orders, which is what the invasion of Iraq is. But, in general, I think those who do such things are victims. I think the generals and the politicians are the real criminals and thugs.
