It sounds like a legit story to me. Just to be sure I checked on Ebay and ordered a Hopkins Frog for myself (don't ask me why). From the picture, it looks just like the one the kid drew.

Well, my very own Hopkin Green Frog (actually, Hopkins) arrived today. It is apparently a McDonalds Happy Meal toy giveaway from 2001 and is from Toys R Us. It's about 3-4 inches long and from the front looks pretty much like the kid's drawing.
But it doesn't look like a frog though. More like Hopkin Green Ugly Spotted Salamander. But that's just MY opinion.

P.S. Don't ask me why I bought it, please!
