| A tad cynical... Location: Somewhere where it's constantly raining. Posts: 23 | Hm, women vs men. What an age old debate. I, being a girl, would have to say that I wouldn't like my chances going up against a big guy. But it really all depends on the guy and the girl that are going up against eachother. Seeing as most of the guys I hang out with are uber nerds, and I ride horses a lot- I can match or beat most of them at arm wrestling... . So it's a good thing to have scrawny nerd friends, and I could probably take one of them any day. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to go up against some huge, buff guy- because I know that I couldn't physically match them. Psychologically I'd have to say that girls can take most guys- because they can GENERALLY keep their cool when they're angry, whereas guys start to get visibly angry and logic deteriorates... Oops, did I say that? Ah, aren't generalizations fun everyone? |

She spun round in a kick aimed at his head - thenn she realised and managed to stop. V.scary. |

No way is that true. It isn't logic that helps you win a fight, or cool, or calm. We don't all live in a ninja movie. It is the first person to hit the other person in the face who wins a fight nine times out of ten. And the only way to make a come back is if you go berserk with adrenaline and then manage to hit them back. I’ve been hit hard in the face, believe me when I tell you it is a fight-stopper.

She waited until he was asleep then poured boiling grease all over his chest! He nearly died. Just remember, winning a battle can lose you the war... I admitted that a huge buff guy I'm no match for. A scrawny one, yes, yes I am a match for them. Being a small person, I am reasonable- I'd need a small male to fight against- but I'm generally stronger than most of my friends who are girls. It'd be up in the air as to who would win with me vs a scrawny boy. It wouldn't be a given, one way or another. And as far as psychologically, I still stand true to my statement- that women keep their cool and men do not, I had no mention of sucker punches in there at all. Simply talking psychologically- there is definitely a distinction to be made between the two. |

Of course you can use peoples weight against them, I agree, but nothing is absolute was my point. You just never know......usually it's the loud mouth who is cocky and running his cake hole who gets the other guy pissed enough to hand him his ass sufficiently.

Being hit in the face is entirely bareable IF you were expecting it. I remember the first time I got jumped, by Danny and Micky who I know, the latter is an amateur boxer. My adreniline was up because I was actually in the process of knocking shit out of Kevin, who had been throwing stuff at my house. So when they started landing blow after blow on my face it didn't actually hurt. Of course I didn't put that around school, or they'd probably make sure it did another time. However when I was attacked off my guard, it was different. I had dragged this kid off a fellow Cadet when he slipped in a fight and the other guy tried to pin him down. I threw him onto his face and pinned him down with my knee and asked my mate whether he wanted to finish him or leave him. My friend, being a good guy, decided to let him run, so I let him go with a goodbye kick in the arse. As the night went on, all these towny chava's started sitting around the entrance to the building, and we all thought they were waiting for my mate. We decided to surround him as we bustled him to the car. When we stepped out, I heard the lad shout out " Chrissy, It's the tall guy in the denim" it didn't click that I was the only one out of uniform that week, untill chris yugel spun me round and started smacking me in the face. It totally stuns you, and I just stood there. It didn't hurt as such, I was more amazed about unreacting I was. When I realized I was stood next to the car, I just opened the door and got in (not stupid enough to try laying into someone 4 years my elder with 15+ friends around him). Got my nose broke that night, which also didn't hurt, adrenaline rush I assume. I changed from judo to kung fu after that. "Martial Arts" that are actually sports are useless for teaching you how to fight. The lesson from all this is, GET THE FIRST PUNCH IN. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill
