Ok, you little punk. Bring it on.

Pick a topic. Any topic. This thread will be for you and I, only.

Let's see which sex is the lesser (if in fact you are male - I do know I'm a woman).

And let's settle this idea of who is better at debate, you or I, right now.

Let's go. You, sir, have been challenged.

Up for it?

If so, pick your topic, and start the thread. 'Mia vs. Sub', perhaps. In the South, ladies go first and have their names listed first. It's also alphabetical to put my name first.

Now, I will allow you start, in fact I know you need every advantage you can get, since it's an unfair competition.

That's why you should pick the topic, start the thread, and present your case first.

That's three legs up I'm giving you.

It won't help.

You will lose anyway.

Lesser sex, my ASS......

God made man.

Then he improved upon the model.

WO-MAN(!) was born.

As this ENTIRE third page in this "discussion" has been back and forth personal attacks, this thread is going to the Butterface. The link will still remain here.

10 personal and irrelevant to the subject posts on this one page alone, vs. ONE post (Bishop) regarding the actual subject.

Although I offerred some advice myself, I'm not sure WHY Mia would post a lost cat thread on an international forum. However, it WAS General Discussion and that was fine. Then the thread degenerated. That's the only reason I moved it and nothing REALLY has changed, just the location. The E-mail notifications don't change and the link takes you here anyway.

heh, it was a goofy post to begin with... she should've asked if there were any people here who live in her vicinity... last time i checked, we have people here from hawaii, britain, australia, etc.... a little common sense was needed.

and mia, sorry for the seeming insensitivity - but last weekend, i had to have my cat put to sleep on my lap.. didn't see me babbling about it here.

hope for america...

Of course not. It WAS the whole point of the thread after all, wasn't it?

I'm curious as well.

That's a gut wrencher. I did that two years ago and I can still see his face. I think it's probably because I like animals MUCH more than I like people in general.
You are right though, it is and should be a private matter.
Unless someone else brings it up.

But Mia's cat is presumably still alive. No harm in giving a little advice.

yupyup...

the worst part was when his head slumped over. saw the little critter in my dreams for several days straight.. there wasn't anything we could do, he had that disorder where crystals block his urethra and he couldn't pee.. i'm just a college student, so i can't afford a thousand+ dollar operation...

we're getting a new kitty in about two weeks though. her name's either kristy or olivia. we haven't decided yet.

kitty

the other goof trooper in the pic's my little brother.

Kidneys shut down for the unfortunately named "Lucky". There was nothing we could do. It was bad enough doing it but after I dug the hole in the back yard I went to get him and his head fell out of the blanket. I still get a shiver when I remember that scene two full years later.
Now we have "Barney" who is a feral stray about one year old, who has been inside for a month. Get this, totally wild. Never been inside a house in his life. He comes in and takes to the house right away and never tries to get back outside! He took to the litter box and doesn't tear up the house. He's as fast as lightning and he KNOWS what those claws are for, yet he is unbelievably gentle with us. My Wife has some kind of genuine magic she works on cats, that's the only thing I can think of for this.
And what makes it even stranger is that this guy is what they call a "tuxedo cat", about half black and half white. Lucky was ALSO a tux cat and this guy looks almost identical!
Spooky.

Good luck with your new roomate.

well, that definitely sucks with the first one..

pretty cool with barney though.. heh, i'm convinced that cats have litterbox ingrained into their genitic code. my girl seems to have similar magic with cats - she's taken in a couple strays in her time.. the snow white effect for sure.

i can only dream of having a house at this point though.. right now we're living in a comfortable 1-bedroom apartment.. i'd love to have a full sized house that the cat could explore. used to hate cats, cuz i never had one - like most cat-haters i guess... but they've definitely grown on me.. dogs still rock too of course.

the best news about our little girl is that she's very friendly and loves to play. i'm no fan of the shifty kitties.

Bishop, yours is the post that's goofy. I DID ask for anyone who lived in the vicinity - that was the entire purpose of the thread!

Additionally, some of you don't seem to be cognizant of the fact that there are debate topics, and non-debate topics.

In General discussion, 'babbling' about whatever anone wants to is the point.

If you're not interested in the topic, the intelligent choice on your part would be to not click on it.

I feel sooryy that you are so bored, that you put yourself in topics that don't interest you, just so you can complain about how un-interesting you are.

I have a busy, full life. I only click on topics that are of interest to me, ignore the ones that don't, and only slam people when they make a major violation of the etiquette, and/or make a personal attack against me.

In the past 5 months, I have: started two businesses, dealt with two stalkers making my life absolutely miserable and unable to get enough sleep and rest, and yet I still took care of four of the seven family members who have gone into the hospital and required lots of after-care, or died.

Tonight, my car was stolen. I'm out of town, the condo I'm renting is unsafe, I know no one to give me a ride or a couch to sleep on.

So you'll need to excuse me, that in the midst of all of this, when my cat went missing, I asked on here if anyone was in or from the area and could save me hours of calling to find out the proper procedures and agencies.

I guess there is absolutely no one who can have a little empathy and just help a person out a tiny bit.

That's not a problem. I know how to take care of myself, obviously.

That doesn't mean it doesn't suck and hurt really badly that the world is so fucking mean.

I don't give a fuck, though. I'm headed to Holleywood.

I've written about the audition I have, now I have been set up with some other people.

I've had the opportunity to kind-of audition here where I'm at, for some people in the know.

They can see I have what it takes and have given me the route to get there, and the roadmap to start on attempting to achieve my dream.

When I go 'Platinum', I'm going to put a big F-you finger on the front of my DVD or CD cover, like Kid Rock did on his for the same reasons.

A big F-you to all the people who pushed me down, wouldn't help even though I break my back to help anyone.

Those same people will all of a sudden want to be my friend again, and that will be tough shit for them.

Anything. You're talking to a mensa member, asshole. Know what that is? I also have 15 years of education and experience on you, and I've been reading and studying and learning since I could read at age 4.

Like I said, bring it on, if you dare. You will look like the ass you are when we're done.

Pick your topic, start the thread, present your topic and your case, and sit and get your ass kicked.

*****Scrib, you also have too much time on your hands. This is GENERAL DISCUSSION.

We can babble all we want about anything we want and the thread hcan change and evolve if the thread owner doesn't mind.

Read up, please, on the rules regarding what goes to Butterface.

You're a mod. Can you act like it?

There are major violations in the debate topics that need your attention.

This one you can just stay out of, please.

And I don't want to hear anything about spelling or grammer issues, either.

Walk one day in my circumstances and seeif YOU have the time or energy to even write in here, much less check it all over and go to the dictionary.

I

Ok, I will. How's this:
Your thread was moved because you were turning it into a personal argument and not a discussion. General discussion is no different than Politics or any other topic when it comes to your behavior and personal insults do not belong there either.
IF you read the etiquette you will not see where General discussion is any different. This is why the thread was moved and an explanation was given. If you feel this is unfair you have the right to complain to the forum owner.
My decision stands in this regard.

Better?

I'm not in the mood to argue, and it doesn't matter to me where you put this thread.

I would like to point out, however, that it was not me, nor my thread topic or anything I did, that caused personal attacks and arguments.

Have a blessed day!
