| Molten Ash Location: thomaston, GA Posts: 132 | Actually, I seriously doubt that any other anarchists are on here for me to "follow along" with. Pretty much everyone I associate myself with is all for Bush, some are not, but alot are, and even more are for government, which I am not. So, I fail to see how I'm acting in a "mob rule" way. Besides all of that, you still failed to respond to the fact that republicans are supposed to be for less government, democratic or not. I'm well over 16, so bite me on that one, too. Whenever citizens are seen routinely as enemies of their own government, writers are routinely seen to be the most dangerous enemies. --E.L. Doctorow |

| BANNED Posts: 89 | MY FOURTH RESPONSE: It is clap-trap that the historical Republican Party is for small government. It never has been. From the beginning the Federalists and later the Whigs and then the Republicans were always for a strong and large Federal Government that did things to improve the nation. It was always the Democrats historically that were opposed to "internal improvements." Lately, in the last 50 years since crazy FDR and the rest of the crazy Democrats have been despoiling the nation, Republicans are so shell shocked by the Democrat government excesses that they have bleatingly taken up the cry of "Smaller Government" in a desperate attempt to stop the Democrat imploding of the entire society. It is not a natural posture for them to take, but one they have gone to in beaten desperation. The right position is to eliminate Democrat Spending and programs, all of them, and substitute Republican Spending and programs. This idea puts a little stress on little minds that have a problem even conceiving of it, but once that little cerebral obstacle is removed it makes a lot of sense. I'm still ashamed of the tiny minds I find on this forum. Tinier even than they really are. All of you could raise your standard out of the gutter if you weren't all in a competition to see who can be the stupidest. |

Can we call this current admin. Repulican? Cheap Labor Conservative is more accurate (if not for the (appx) 8 trillion this admin spent in 4 years) and the only reason they didnt attack Iran is because the election season came upon us. Same for the draft, look for that right after the election. | |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 623 | Gosh...this was sooooo freakin' FUNNY! The whole thread. I did LOL. I mean, the guy is sick, come on. Everybody seems to want to point at his age or the fact that he doesn't understand what "debate" means. <<He just KNOWS the truth, he found it in the word "Republican". >> He fits the profile of a "psychotic" element. Leave him alone. Or tell him that when the men in white coats show up, he will just get a quick shot, then he will have to lie down sloooowly and then...everything will be all right. Jeeeezz! You will eventually get 86ed for your behavior. There are partisan Republicans almost as fanatically partisan as you here at volconvo. We who disagree with them enjoy our repartee. We come here to duke it out with them. But they attempt to conform to the etiquette. You have not done so, and I surmise you will never do so. http://www.slangsite.com/slang/T.html Quote:

| Skeptical Patriot Posts: 7,832 | PH, I agree, but the Butterface is where the etiquette can be bent to a degree. However, and although I just find the guy funny, I have to admit it is getting old. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |

| 9/11: Inside Job Location: Hawai'i, Big Island Posts: 10,453 | Right on the Butterface, Scribbler, but his original post was in the Politics, right? So his replies in Butterface are not inappropriate, but Bob likely has a fundamental misunderstanding of what we do here. That said, I hope that Bob and every new member can find a niche and a voice here. Controversy is what makes this place fun... But I fear Bob doesn't know the difference between B'face and the Debates. | Igneous Magma Posts: 667 | In Butterface all is legal. Booting him for lack of etiquette in the non-etiquette forum is censorship. Like TV and radio... If the guy bothers you... turn him off, ignore his posts. I find his kind of humor (deliberate or not) very entertaining. The only thing I do worry about it is... are we making fun of a child, or someone with the mind of a child. Protester against the culture war!!!! |

| BANNED Posts: 89 | MEA CULPA "To all my friends, and you White folks too." This incredible statement was actually spoken publicly, by Eleanor Roosevelt, back when it wasn't cool to say such things, if it has ever been. It made my grandfather a confirmed Republican for life and was repeated door to door everywhere in my neck of the woods. It may have been the precise moment of the birth of the modern Republican Party. Talk about affirmative action!!! I must say this spat on the board has been an educational experience, both as to the particular, or should I say peculiar, corporate culture on this forum, and as to how forums work in general, should work, are hoped to work, used to work, or will work, or not ,in the future. It is either comforting or scary to think there is a human face, warts and all, behind every grotesque, absurd, pseudonym "handle" in use here. It is like, in some ways, prison, where no one has a past, or a future, just a terrifying present. I find such a society, and indeed it is a society, strange though it may be, interesting, as in discovering a new species. Internet posters may be a newly evolved sub-species, perhaps even reversing evolution, toward a lower life-form. We'll see if I can fit in-survive, and even get out of the wagon and push once in a while, and if I'm wanted at all, and by whom. I'll try not to commit any cardinal sins like posting too long a post. We wouldn't want to over-extend the attention-span of anyone, right? I guess I'm something like a bit better educated Cliff Claven. How’s that for self-deprecation? |
