The main problem with your proposal Kyran is accountability. Something sorely lacking in the world today. I am happy to be accountable for my actions, I don't need you to do it for me. I am still totally bemused by my name being listed in the seven but there you go.

Kyran, I don't understand this at all. What do you mean by Sean will punish YOU because of the actions of others? I find that a bit tough to swallow unless I am seriously missing something. And I really don't get this Jesus thing you have going, taking the rap for the sins of others?
I can only speak for myself, but I believe that, even as a mod I am just as responsible for my actions as anyone else here, and I don't really want anyone to intercede for me, and I don't see where anyone would WANT to. Just a few days ago I noticed I had been here almost exactly one year. In that year I think I've done my share of sinning but evidently not TOO much, and that was without anyone taking any bullets for me. At this point I don't think I'll be changing anything and I plan on sticking around.

IMO,Kyran, if you're pissing people off, I'll get over it. If it bothers YOU, OTOH, then stop pissing people off. That's all. Nobody wants you to step in front of a train for anyone.

Kyran, I won't accept your "obstructive to intelligent debate" accusation. You have been one of the worst here and I have always been among the most polite and welcoming. I have always been conscious of the etiquette, even when violating it (rarely). I have been apologetic when corrected for attitude. You however have been extremely rude in post after post. At present I choose not to begin a thread compiling your often outrageous transgressions.

What I have noticed is that Sean, THE OWNER is most peeved by rudeness. He has provided a special forum for such stuff: Butterface.

{Sean actually kinda likes flaming, if done properly. For instance I have PMed him twice regarding the use of another member's quote in the sig. He chooses to allow such insults, because(verbatim, I believe) "It makes the blood boil..."} But if a member is corrected and doesn't respond, or responds rudely, then it is Sayonara.

I can't figure why Sean would hire someone as brash as you for a mod, but I hope it works out well. I hope we begin to see a gentler, kinder Kyran as you get into your new job...

The very fact that people would refuse this type of amnesty is enough to convince me that they deserve to be punished.

in defense of the members that were listed, i disagree. they've all made contributions to debate here, although some much more than others. however, i don't find myself encountering many wise posts from you either. and, of course, that is my opinion - as i've seen how you've received kudos in the past for certain "thought provoking" posts.

i have a feeling that this list merely includes people that you've chosen to focus on. because, if the problem really is hit and run posting, or ad hominem attacks, then the list should be much bigger. i think everyone, including myself (and you) are guilty of failing to follow the rules in lockstep.

The very first response I got from this forum was an insult. Since then, Rebel and the old flamers have disappeared. The forum was already going to crap when I got here. Edge, Lightbearer, Leopard, and AnonT are not arguing with me anymore. These guys were good...real good.
