the elite are a highly favored minority. elitism is protecting or advancing the condition of a small minority.

it is obvious. in the richest nation we give physically limitless lives to the elite and fail to provide health care or adequate or affordable education or good jobs or skills to the remainder.

our policies have allowed this to happen. our tax codes have made it attractive for megarich and multinational corporations to cheat our tax system with loopholes. sometimes i wonder if it is really considered 'cheating' or 'efficiency'. bush would give them greater tax cuts, while shaking down the rest of society.

let's replace the taxes for the megarich, close up tax and stock market loopholes, and provide good education and health care for our people so they all can live better lives.

I agree.

But request you clear up one thing for me, what did you mean by "replacing the taxes for the Mega-rich"? What would we replace the taxes with? Not sure if I follow that part yet, so can you elaborate on it.

Life is about elitism.

During the French Revolution, the peasants overthrew the elite aristocrats, then they became the elite.

In the 1949 Chinese Communist revolution, elite landlords and intellectuals were arrested, to be replaced by an elite band of peasant rulers (which we now call the CCP).

In the 1917 Soviet revolution, the elitist nobility were replaced by the new Soviet Communist elite.

Even basic animals have the elite - the alpha males of the packs dominate the rest.

Can we get rid of elitism? No.

In fact - Bobb_dobbs: I believe the reason you hate the elite is that you want to be part of them! I can hear your angry denials already.

Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you.

i am against elitism because the world could be an adequate and wonderful place for everyone without it. you fail to see or even consider a way of living without fighting over resources and wasting money and producing low quality of life and inequality and injustice.

elitism is giving huge tax cuts to the rich in return for the no child left behind act shutting down every poor school and leaving states and towns to replace the students. elitism is jamming an invasion of a sovereign nation down the people's throats with terror and fear and manipulation.

Wow, 4 posts. You sure are denying it pretty hard.

The thing is, elitism isn't a social or economic issue. Its a psychological issue. People are born and bred with elitist outlooks.

From Oog the caveman who challenged Org the cave leader for tribal power, to Adolf Hitler and the Communist revolutionaries (or later known as the Unquestioned Elite of the USSR), power and elitism will always remain.

The irony is that every attempt to destroy elitism simply results in a change in leadership. Oh dear, those anti-elitist revolutionaries just became dictators!

If I was President I would stop all those elitism as well as big government, chopping it down to only 12 departments of humble servents of the voters.

We need our free our self of those elistist leaders, verly verly I say unto you, this is the one and only way. Convert now to my plan for humbleness or I shall stone you with my big rock and doomsday will be your reward, you got 12 hours to convert or,... or.....

Yeah, Stalin promised Utopia if he was made leader.

Then he tasted power.

Also, if you are president, technically you are elitist.

So much powermongering, and you're not even a politician yet!

the government, bush, is promoting elitism in society by giving the rich disparately enormous tax cuts, and making anti-worker policies and degrading quality of life for the middle class.

Bob_Dobbs: Are you a tape recorder? You've said the same crap over and over. Bush is evil, the rich are evil, people who are better than other people are evil, bla bla bla.

This is clearly going nowhere. Castille, you're posts are two liners and offer nothing constructive.

Bob- Sources? Present your facts clearly and concisely. You're jumping from conjecture to conjecture with no substance at all.

Due to the aforementioned reasons, this thread is going to the butterface.
