| Un-molten Ash Posts: 259 | 2008 BCS Champ? Just out of curiosity, what are all of your predictions for this year? Can't really get any more exciting then last year... I think its a battle for whoever gets to play the winner of USC/OSU. Both of those teams are powerhouses playing in weak conferences. After that game, neither has an excuse to lose. The winner of this game will be #1 going into the champ. game. Who will be #2? Despite Georgia having the most balanced and talented team with one of the sport's best coaches at the helm, their schedule is just too demanding. I predict UGA will repeat LSU's performance of last year....2 narrow losses. They will be top5 at the end of the year, but not in the final game. UF has a very easy schedule comparatively, provided they can beat UGA. Besides that, most every other challenging game for them is at home. They have an excellent chance at making it to the end. Beyond UGA and UF, I see WVU as having an excellent chance. They, like Florida, have a favorable schedule with enough punch to rise them to the top should they run the table. |

Seminole Nation baby! ....I don't know if we're even ranked this year, but we'll definitely get to the National Championship! As long as we don't choke on close games like we did last year. ~Don't Mistake My Silence For Ignorance. I'm Simply To Bored To Own You Right Now~ |

I also note that evil OU and ne'er do well Mizzou are both ranked ahead of noble Texas and valient Texas Tech. The fighting Aggies of Texas A&M are also missing, like Florida State. It must be an oversight. As long as the ACC keeps losing horribly, they won't be picked for the big stage. The last two years the SEC has had two teams in the top3 at the end of the season. Both times the #3 team was not in the conference championship game. Even though they only have 5 perennial powers, Alabama is on the rise, and possibly Miss State/Arkansas as well. |

Well, as I said before, the BCS is unpredictable, so if by some unseen power the top 25 start losing to unranked teams like last year, and FSU keeps winning! We'll be in it for sure *dreams*. What about the Big 10, the Big 12, and the PAC 10. SEC and ACC teams could be echoing the words of Marlin Brando after they have to face a winner from one of those conferences, "I cudda been a contenda." Rumor is that the Big 12 winner will be the team with AA batteries in the secondary. It looks like it's going to be air attack, followed by air attack on the Great Plains. | Un-molten Ash Posts: 259 | The PAC10's a pretty good conference. But that's really only because USC belongs there. Take them out....and it kind of fizzles out. Cal, Oregon, and ASU have their moments, but its not really "great" stuff. I'm liking how the Big 12 is shaping up though. They have tons of solid teams this year...Mizzou, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Kansas. I really hope Mizzou , Kansas and TTU keep it up, it never hurts to have another consistent winner. Big Ten is alright, but much like the PAC10. OSU saves them. |

| Un-molten Ash Posts: 259 | Well, there goes my hopes for WVU making it to the end. Who could have seen ECU coming out of nowhere and obliterating them in such a dominating fashion? Don't worry about ECU though, my UCF Knights will handle them when they come to Bright House Stadium. Seems like the ACC and Big East fall hard this year. Between the two of them, they only have 3 top 25 teams? Worse yet, the highest ranked between the 3 is 19th. Big 12 and SEC are stacked with top15 teams, and the PAC10 has arguably the single best team in USC. I would say arguably because it is almost impossible to tell the difference between USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, and Mizzou. I would include OSU, but their lame performance doesn't bode well for them when they play at USC in a couple days. |

| Un-molten Ash Posts: 259 | Florida has the cupcake schedule too. As of right now, they will only play 2 top 25 teams, #2 Georgia at a neutral site and #7 LSU at home. They don't get #9 Auburn and #11 Alabama this round, so they have been handed a silver plate to the BCS. |
