![]() MoreThanMeetsTheEye Location: Earth, Solar System Posts: 505 | What is your dream? I'm just curious about what some of the volconvo member's dreams and aspirations are. It can be professionally or personally or whatever. I'll share if others choose to share too. No sacrifice, No victory |

![]() Cabbages and Kings Location: England Posts: 356 | I’m pleased to say that I don’t really have them anymore. To quote Oscar Wilde: “In this world there are two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it. The last is much the worst.” If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years. ![]() Naturally Selected Location: Southern California Posts: 773 | After I get my BS in Physics, I want to become an Astronomer and go to grad school at either UC Santa Cruz or Chicago University. My dream is to teach astronomy at a public, 4-year university (preferably Chicago U). |

![]() The Cake is a lie... Location: St. Louis Posts: 2,388 | Long term goals -To be a good person -To help others wherever I am able -To be content with my character / values and life -To be happy. It's been years since I've been legitimately happy and not merely taking a breather in between crises. Objectives (within the next 4 years) -Start & Finish the Academy -Start & Finish Grad School -Reach 200 lbs flat (should reach this by the end of the summer no problem if current trends persist) -Start a family (once the prior are met) What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality? |

Enlightening. Humbling. Fascinating. I started considering myself an atheist the same year I left the Army with a letter of introduction in my briefcase to the San Diego Catholic diocese and a recommendation in support of my application to enter seminary. That was a defining moment in my life, a period of weeks when I had to reconsider so many things in my life. All my dreams had to be rebuilt. It's happened a few times, those dream-shattering events. I have only a few left, and they're pretty mundane. The Forum Rules Radical Atheist Heathen Queer Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |

Like, I wouldn't want to be disabled or fat. So while I think being a race car driver would be cool, driving on California freeways is about all the danger I could handle. I exercise regularly so I don't get fat. I belive figiuring out what I don't want to happen is working out better as a guide. Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh! | |

| Selfish shellfish Location: Ohio... Posts: 217 | Well right now I'm only 16, but I have goals. I absolutely love science and medicine. I also love helping people (Pardon my cliches). I hope that after graduating, I can go to an accelerated, 6-year BS/MD program in my area to study to become a surgeon. After that, who knows? |

![]() Apathetic Posts: 112 | Well I just finished my BA in Theology & Philosophy. Start my MDiv with a focus on inter-cultural/inner city & Counseling this fall. Will eventually get a Phd just because I need to prove to myself I can do it. I'm generally a pretty happy guy and optimistic. I have done every job I have ever wanted to do and with the exception of owning a 1965 Panhead had pretty much everything I have wanted. Life is good. ![]() Last edited by Whilletal; Jun 25, 2008 at 11:37 am. Reason: typo |
