| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,051 | Who pays for the news we watch on TV I mostly watch CNN news for my poltical coverage of the elections underway. So I keep track of who is paying for the news that I am getting. The Speical Interest groups that advertise the most during prime time are. The medical industry and prescription drug companies. Chevron and other energy and chemical companies. Companies that offer ways for you to invest money. Those were the most often ones aired. A few other ads pop up now and then like a poltical ad or ad for some new car. I felt this is important because of the Hillary Health Plan and the political ideas to regulate the energy businesses. However I am not suggesting that CNN totally slanted their news reporting in favor of those speical interest groups that pay for my news offerings. Who is paying for the news you digest? |
