Apologies radar love I am not calling you personally a fool take it as a generalised statement. If you want to believe in this stuff that's up to you, not for me to say you can't, but still my right to disagree.

Are you aware of catch 22
Only a crazy person says there not crazy.

Sorry calamity but I come across more fakes and have never seen the real thing. Houdini spent his life exposing them.
Dead is dead.

Your not very smart are you? And for your info Idid think I was crazy at first, but it's a little wierd when people who dont believe in spirits start seeing wierd stuff or see things. So you can sit here and think your the smartest person in the world calling people crazy, but your on this debate so your searching for something. So you can sit here and call everyone crazy, but if your here your crazy too.

err.. why is he crazy because he's reading this? I read this and I don't believe in spirits, etc.

Besides, what's your justification? You said that you've heard things that are pretty ridiculous.. what are they?

Honestly I don't think your crazy the catch 22 comment was a joke please don't take it seriously.
As for your ability I admit I am a sceptic and I am not sure that your "ability" (for want of a better word ) is an appropriate discussion here.
I do not see how you can prove it to any one's satisfaction via the computer.
But if you feel that you can them I will listen.

the first post

"I'd like to hear from those who have had experiences with anything labeled "supernatural" Spirits, demons, ghosts, or even aliens, or maybe just an encounter with anything else outside the realm of normal or scientifically accepted. I'm talking to those who have had an experience which they can't shake off as imagination or hallucination etc. Something so real that you are forced to believe in what most don't. Please be brave and share your experience here even though there will be naysayers and possibly immature insults. I for one will take your experiences seriously and I would appreciate you sharing."
That’s the first post for this forum he wants to know about peoples experiences. Just people like you who decide to discuss things like atheism instead have dominated the discussion. So my post belongs here more then yours do, and if you don’t mean something don’t say it. Calling people crazy likes its okay then saying you didn’t mean it doesn’t change the fact you said it.

I said he was crazy, because only someone who is crazy would see any sense in arguing with someone whos crazy. And with the hearing things do you want to know what I hear or what I hear or who talks to me?

Possibly because your one of the few who has come forward to admit an experience.

No, you got it wrong again. I tried to say it with a bit of humour so as not to cause offense to any one with a sense of humour. But seeing as you don't appear to have one then let me make it clear to you that yes I do think people who say they talk to the dead are either crazy or attempting to con people out of their money.

Because they are still grieving the loss of a loved one which makes them susceptible to money hungry thieves with a con game.

Fine then answer this: What proof can you offer that your claim isn't just another con game or delusion?

seeing or hearing things doesn't make you incapable of rational thought

Or they're just dupes, I've lost more than a few close loved ones, and I've never beleived some dude talks to them when I can't.

I don't know about hauntings and such, I haven't had many paranormal experiences myself... My mum however is a lot more tuned into that sort of thing, and she's had a few mild experiences.

I like to think that there is something after death, simply because I don't want to just stop existing. Call me pathetic, but yeah.

I find it odd that John Edwards and Sylvia Brown never tell family members something they don't already know. Wouldn't it be nice if once they said "Your loved one is telling me they have money hidden in a mason jar in the north west corner of your attic?"

I think that they generally do that to enforce that they are the "real thing". I once saw an episode of Law & Order where the main character explained how it's reasonably simple with some research to make vague statements from logic and reason. Just things like common causes of death, how common a name is in certain areas, watching reactions to sounds "j....ja... (watching the reaction, seeing if it's expectant or surpirsed, etc.,)...JAMES says hi.", things like that. I think that that's generally why they don't give out details of treasure or anything, because they're frauds. That, or they're going to go nab it themselves.

But yeah, it would be nice.
