Yet teens, preteens, and children think very alike when it comes to celebrities. Even if it is a different demographic, they still think the same.

No, they don't. There is a wide continuum of "idol worship" when it comes to celebs.

It's slightly fuzzy when an actor is indentified with a character who is significantly younger or older than them, and then the *real* person in *real* life does age appropriate (or at least sorta appropriate) things, but those actions are *still* not perceived the same by a preteen as they are by a young adult, etc.

I saw hana montana posters at target tonight...in the girl's pre-teen section. that's typically elementary school age.

I was just letting you know that I saw a huge display of her clothing at Target (next to the boys department) I was shopping for my 10 year old. Your brother can fantasize about who he wants to.

It doesn’t seem to have caught on over here, it was on the TV a few Sunday mornings but now it appears to have been taken off. My daughter, who is of the age the show is probably aimed at, showed her approval by sticking her fingers down her throat and making retching noises ... but then she is a Marilyn Manson fan.

I don't know, there was on article on Yahoo! about it and it seemed genuine, shallow, but genuine. There seemed like there was personal information not disclosed before.

It's called ghostwriting and it's what a lot of celebs use to "write" their books. They dictate some information, situations, etc and a literary person translates it into a book.

Are you sure? Hilary duff, lindsay lohan, (to name just a few disney stars), all lasted for more than a year. Britney spears, and other young singers have lasted for a long time. I think its possible, I'm just not so sure.

In recent years, the popularity of the the teen-girl-pop-star fad has been decreasing. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty confident that Miley won't be doing much this time next year.

Celebrities have agents that put together some great projects for their celebrities, and they simply slap their name on products. For example, George Forman didn't invent that grill. In fact, it was one phonecall away from being the Hulk Hogan grill. Celebrities simply lend their name to a product. Just like they do for perfumes, makeup, etc... She doesn't even write her own songs. There really isn't any confusion about Miley having a ghostwriter for her book.
