| Sedimentary Rock Location: Illinois, USA Posts: 7 | How would I find a forum discussing Irish-Americans? I can find sites with schedules of holday and sporting events, cultural events, parochial sites, etcetera. I'm looking for a site along the lines of this one, only specific to matters concerning Irish-Americans' experience in dealing with life in America. If one even exists. Perhaps a suggestion as to the search terms to use:? ![]() |

![]() Molten Ash Location: Boston Posts: 109 | Unfortunately Irish Americans have hijacked St Patricks Day as Irish Pride Day (coming up soon by the way). Do some google searches, I know in Boston there are several rugby, hurling, and Irish football clubs. You can start by looking into your genealogy, look on amazon, there are some books about the Irish in Boston, New York, Chicago, etc. In terms of Irish history, check out 'Rebels' by Peter De Rosa, and '1916: The Easter Rising ' by Tim Pat Coogan. Theres always the remote chance that the Wolfetones might be playing in your area, so look into that. I know this doesnt exactly address the topic but some digging from that might help. We're looking at the world through the barrel of a gun, are we ready? |
