Why are those living in poor nations entitled to the rewards another man has reaped simply because of need?

Who said they even deserve the rewards. I didn't say that the man should share his wealth. I didn't say whether it is right or wrong. I just said it is greedy if he doesn't. I have yet to say whether i think greed is a good or a bad thing. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Well, if you think that greed is good thing then I would happen to agree. My apologies if I put words in your but I do not believe in handouts. The only thing I have taken issue with is that I do not think you judge how greedy someone is simply by how much wealth they have and you think otherwise. My position happen to be supported by the dictionary and yours does not. We have around this circle several times already and do not see any use going around again.

Anyway, back to our discussion: you were right that the "either or" situation is incorrect -- which is why I never said that. One can be seem as slightly greedy for wanting anything, but obviously a billionaire is greedier than your average person. If you don't think so, it renders the word "greedy" almost totally meaningless.

A lot of people say "I don't believe in handouts" -- particularly when things are going to their satisfaction. But a society without some kind of assistance programs is readying itself for total corruption and failure.

The attitude that the rich should continue to dominate everything while the poor should be held down is nothing but Social Darwinism, which, in my view, can easily put one in league with racists and other groups with fascist ideologies. It's not only similar to bowing to Kings, it's like rolling out their red carpets and handing them crowns and sceptors.
