The situation here is that there is something a group of people find enjoyable which requires 'force' to continue existing -- some members give force and others are taking a free ride. What is certain is that if the force stops, then the enjoyable thing (in this case, anime) ceases to exist. The only question of pertinence in this case is whether or not you are doing your fair share of the work or if you are just hanging on to other people's coat tails.

Whether or not I am making the world a better place is inconsequential to the issue at hand. For that matter, I can say since everything will eventually be gone, there is no point in me doing my homework -- but I do my homework because of the immediate dangers of not doing my homework.

not a real big anime person but I just got three of the dragonball movies for my kids and I to watch. Goku is just a little boy. They love it. Goku is such a good role model.

Dragon Ball starts when goku is a kid, and finishes when he is a grandfather.

Its an epic series.

my kids can grow with it. I just want them to watch(wear out) all the kid episodes I can find before I even go the adult ones. I've seen em all once and would like to find the one where he meets chi-chi and her father.

Dragon ball GT will NEVER be considered dragon ball by me. It wasn't made by the original writer. And it was crap.

I've enjoyed the Dragonball(s), but I was disappointed when they switched writers in the middle of the Majin Buu saga. I could definitely see where they had changed from the past cool into a childlike silly. The way I've heard it, the episode in which Majin Buu kills his master is the last one by the original writers. All the crap that followed with Hercule and Majin Buu hanging out together was the deeds of the new guys.

I really liked DBZ up until they spent all this time making Gohan out to be the savior again and then in 4 episodes make him completely irrelevant never really using him again for the rest of the series.

I agree. It would have been better if it was a 'handing down' of the responsibilities - from older generation to the new generation. Like cell games.

Gohan, Trunks and Goten should've been the ones to save the day.

But no. It had to be goku. Our perfect saviour goku.

At the very least, I don't know why at the end of the series they didn't wish for him to be on the elder kai planet to help stall out Kid Buu since he was far stronger than Vegeta at that point.

Wow..

Death note has even made it to Australian TV.

The only other adult anime series to reach Aussie TV was Neon Genesis.. and that was on really late at night.
