The only anime I have been able to watch consistently are Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchmeist, Trinity Blood, and my girlfriend loves Inuyasha.

I never got into the Bleach fad. The friends I had at college my first year we're the ones who waited for the new episodes to get translated and subbed so they could torrent them right away to watch them. That show is not my style.

But I suggest the 3 that I have watched....and Inuyasha if you like a lot of filler, talking, and love story.

I'm currently in search for a new anime series to spend my non-studying/smoking hours on.

Ohhhh, and GunGrave...that show is sick.

I used to watch Inuyasha, but then I found out how the series ends and no longer had any desire to see it.

How about this question:

Where do you find free shows to download. I have a mac so it has to be a friendly download program.

Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, Outlaw Star, FLCL, Ghost in the Shell(series) all great shows to start off with.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but pick on the stupidity and immaturity of this. First of all, mutated vampires. Like I said, childish cartoons. Second of all, targeted for revenge. Pointless confrontation, especially because he isn't dangerous to them anymore? And third of all the idea of a hidden city where vampires and humans coexist. Vampires suck blood! According to all vampire stories it's like an overwhelming desire! And, assuming humans don't like vampires sucking them dry, the idea of a city where they could coexist is ridiculous.

I'm sorry phoneix, I'm just not seeing it.
You are determined not to see it though, so that is hardly surprising -- psychologists determined a long time ago that humans have a tendency to look for what proves them right rather than what proves them wrong. It's called confirmation bias. It especially applies to art, where only rigorous analysis can determine if a work has the nuances and particulars vital to great works, and a person suffering from confirmation bias will not be willing to overcome the mental-emotional obstacles necessary to find these bits and pieces.

Not that I can say whether this series suits me or not, as I have never seen it -- there is plenty of anime I do not like at all. This could be one of them, or it could not.

However, phoenix made a good point about vampires. The version you described is the one-dimensional and rather uninteresting variety. If anyone tried making Vampire films like that after Underworld, audiences would laugh (or yawn). Vampires nowadays need to be sophisticated and complex in their dealings with humans.

Heaps at:
Realitylapse.com

Really really good site. Big selection of anime and manga. Anime is all in .rmvb format

Anime-eden.com
Huge selection, but only has unlicenced anime. I only download manga from here because the anime is in .ogm format or something weird like that.

da-anime.org
has just about everything, in lots of different formats, but you have to download from file sharing servers (eg. rapidshare)

I downloaded the X movie.. I stoped watching when subaru died (first 10 minutes)
Do yourself a favor and find tha tv series or the manga. The movie is crap.

Judging an anime of its summary is pointless.
If you really want to prove its crap, then you actualy have to watch it.

Do the Abridged Series count? The Naruto and Yu-gi-oh! ones are the best.

I enjoy one anime- Hellsing.

I was so impressed that I had the Alucard guns made in .454 chamber.

They've provided me with a lot of enjoyment for both range shooting and Smuntions training.

Update!

So Anime-eden is a great resource. But I have some questions: Are downloads from there all just in japanese?

Secondly what is BT? In reference to where people download from I've read about BT and Torrent. What the heck are they?

I traditionally hate anime and have never really watched it, but recently someone recommended Death Note to my bro and he told me I had to watch it and it is so sick. Again, I don't know what else is really out there in anime so it wouldn't mean a lot by me saying it is the best anime ever but I just have to say it, so check it out.

I don't actualy download anime from anime-eden; but I assume that they would all be in japanese.

Reality lapse has some anime in english.. but you can't realy tell until you download it.

Thing is, anime fans traditionaly hate dubs.

2nd. BT is Bittorrent.
Its a file sharer..

You download utorrent - Which is free as far as I know.
Then you can find several sites with torrents for you to download.

Torrents can contain anything. A series of anime, a computer program + hack, games, movies, music, virus's..

You can find a good selection of torrents here:
isoHunt - the BitTorrent and P2P search engine

.

Cowboy Bebop is excellent.

Ghost in the Shell -- 1 and 2

Appleseed

Wings of Honneamise

Porco Rosso

Howl's Moving Castle

Spirited Away

Ninja Scroll

Nausicaa

The Neon Genesis: Evangelion series

Now and Then, Here and There -- 5 part series

And for giggles, try out Ninjai: the Little Ninja. It's a Internet flash animation series and not technically anime, but tons of fun none the less.

.

I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it

I dislike a good 90% of anime, but there are a few good gems floating around.

If you haven't already seen it, watch Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind . It's a must see.
