![]() Queer Location: California Posts: 2,605 | Anime is just full of overly dramatic stories. If you watched the Youtube clip Maryjane linked, the narrator "Foamy" talks about how it's just the main character getting revenge on somebody evil who killed somebody else you don't really care about. Besides, it doesn't change the fact that you're so obviously obsessed with these cartoons. Your avatar is anime. You talk about anime a lot. You have a picture of anime in your signature. People call themselves bikers because they ride motorcycles. It's ridiculous to think you can base a lifestyle around a method of transportation. That's the feeling I'm getting here. |

..........................105. Crappy YouTube videos of people incessantly complaining about stuff. This isn't the first instance in which I've been subjected to such drivel. B.) Are you using said video of poor quality as "evidence"? Because the author seems pretty uninformed as well. C.) I talk about politics a lot too, but most politicians are too ugly to use as avatars. I talk a whole lot about religion, but my particular one has a thing about idols and graven images, so a picture of God is out. I watch a lot of criminal investigation shows, but somehow a mass spec or a corpse just wouldn't seem right. I choose anime pictures because they are aesthetically pleasing, practical, and relevant. But really, I don't see how it matters. D.) Being called a biker is about far more than a mode of transportation. It's about a culture. It's about the way you interact with other people who are bikers. It's not a culture that I'm a part of or even know a whole lot about, but I know enough to understand that it's more than just about a "mode of transportation". E.) For someone who's trying to get others to be sympathetic toward your personal lifestyle choice, you come off a little...intolerant. Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. -- Song 8:6 | |

![]() Queer Location: California Posts: 2,605 | A. It seems you would say anybody who disagrees with you is just complaining and driveling. B. It seems you would say anybody who disagrees with you is just uninformed. C. A girl that looks like a mouse and has bluish-purple hair is aesthetically pleasing? D. It's a culture based around something that is just a method of transportation. E. Homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice. So you are comparing anime to homosexuality? So you do consider anime to be a lifestyle? It certainly seems you make it an overly large part of your life. |

| Paladin Location: Narnia Posts: 4,277 | A.) Are you defending the "quality" of such a video? I see no merit in it whatsoever. I've managed, in fact, to find various and creative ways to disagree with people. B.) Prove me wrong. C.) Obviously I think so. E.) Obviously I think so. No, I'm not. But one can still be intolerant about either. Even if you think you were born that way, it's irrelevant. Intolerance is intolerance, and it can manifest toward anything that a person identifies with no matter how large or small a part of that person's life it is. I am not at all saying that it is a lifestyle. Yet here you are going on such a huge crusade over it: you're acting just like the people that you've been so disgusted with. Whatever. This started as banter and has gone way, way off topic. If you want to continue this conversation, send me a PM because this is getting way too personal. ![]() Queer Location: California Posts: 2,605 | No idea what you're talking about Helio. We're kind of trying to get off the subject Morality, but at least somebody finally acknowledged the fact that I just find anime annoying, and truthfully people obsessed with it as well. You can argue about how anime is good with their flapping mouths, annoying voices, big swords and pointless conflicts, but I will always think otherwise. |

All I see when I look down, something jumpin' on the ground, Scratchin' dirt, cluckin' in the barnyard - Tell me, could that be you? John Kay |
